Yesterday was a DAY in the studio. 😂📸

I had two sessions back-to-back where the kiddos were just not feeling it. There were tears. There were negotiations. There may have been a mini meltdown… and there may have been a MAJOR one. 😬😂

At some point, I’m pretty sure both moms were thinking, “There is NO WAY she got anything from this.” But we rolled with it. We took our time, let the kids have their moments, regrouped…and somehow, we ended with smiles. ❤️

Then the galleries went out.

Mom #1 messaged me: “You’d never know the struggle of this shoot by these results. Thanks for working a miracle!”

And Mom #2 posted on Facebook: “Amy McLaughlin is a MAGICIAN! These pics were literally 10 minutes after a MAJOR meltdown.”

And THIS is your reminder, parents:

Please don’t stress when your kids aren’t “cooperating” at a photo session.

They don’t need to be perfect. They don’t need to sit still. They don’t need to smile on command.

And you definitely don’t need to spend the entire session apologizing to me. 😂
I’ve got you.

Sometimes there’s a little chaos behind those beautiful photos…and apparently, sometimes we perform miracles and dabble in magic. 🪄

You bring me the kids — meltdowns and all. We will handle the rest. ❤️

Sarah has been trying to get into HMH for about a year now for PCT apprenticeship, Rad Tech aid or patient transport - with no luck. She has her CPR and BLS certification. Does anyone have any connection to HMH to give her direction? All applications have gone unanswered. Thanks!!
