‘Tis the season for Mini-Sessions. This scheduling seems to be much easier so I’m going to keep with this format. [If you are wanting a Jack London session, that will be end of October or beginning of November once I get the proper permits approved and those sessions are $250 due to cost of permits.]

Rebuilding my wedding portfolio after over a year of not working has been a dream! I’m a sucker for small intimate weddings that come together in the final moments with friends and family frantically behind the scenes making it all run flawlessly. This wedding included a zipline, worship, and a sparkler send off... I have missed every moment of this.

Dear Class of 2021: You began your high school years as a huge fire closed schools and evacuations became mandatory. Your friends lost everything. You stepped up to help create fun spaces in local evacuation shelters for kids who lost their safety, never questioning your own. Your years of high school were followed by more fires, more evacuations, power outages...you endured. When the country needed the voice of our youth, you answered the call. You marched and protested peacefully down Broadway, being a strength for the weak and a force for the minority. You created safe places for the 🏳️‍🌈 community. And then, despite all your valiant efforts, you lost your senior year to a pandemic. Yet, you stood up and, again, answered the call. You quarantined, you sheltered in place, you gave up your athletics and academics, all while our state opened up to tourists, you stood by patiently waiting for your turn. I couldn’t be more proud or more honored to capture some of the normalcy this year brought — senior portraits, senior prom put on by the moms, cap and gown photos. It’s an honor and a privilege to have met so many of you. You give me so much hope for the future of my children. Thank you for inspiring me daily! The world needs more humans like you! xoxo

p.s. Secret’s out: I bring sparkling apple cider and confetti poppers to my senior sessions. Not sad about it. (I also offer complimentary Cap&Gown photos to all my families who book family/senior sessions ❤️)

All gave some. Some gave all. Veterans, Blue and Gold star Families, and civilians mustered at 9am this morning to place American Flags at the graves of Veterans at . It’s easy to forget the reason behind this extended weekend. Please consider taking a moment to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live free in this incredible country we call America.

I went from closing my business to booking my entire month. Thank you Viansa Sonoma for your support, your kindness, and taking a chance on me. It feels so good to be able to sleep at night again, wake up, and be a mom to my kids. It was a hard year, but I vow to comeback better and stronger. To my clients who believe in me and my friends who won’t let me quit, I couldn’t be more grateful and more indebted. I am happy to be open for business.

This portrait session was a dream. I got to work with the insanely talented Nicole of Nicole Jackson Photography to learn about light, clarity, sharp pictures, and tiny details. Glory was so much fun. We all laughed, ended up staying late to chat and giggle some more, and, I learned so much about myself, my camera, the light... 💛 Thank you Nicole and Glory! My time is so limited these days, so to have some adult time to do what I love with likeminded individuals fills my heart. xoxo

There were a lot of tears editing these sessions. I have worked so hard to get here. And I'm so insanely grateful to everyone who has supported me through the years. I've been blessed to do events and weddings that allowed me to keep my costs down for families and friends -- which is truly where I fell in love with photographing humans and moments and stories. Each session held a little piece of healing and growth. I truly cannot write that any session was better than any other one. Thank you all for the years of support, even when I had to put family first and editing second. While I will never put my camera down, I have made the hard choice to not renew my business license. The cost of running the business with no events or weddings on the books for the foreseeable future would make it nearly impossible to survive as a single mom with 2 kids in Sonoma. My special needs son needs a full time teacher and a full time 1:1 aide and the district cannot provide any help -- this has become a full time job in itself. I'm also working another job that requires me to work nights (allowing me to be present for my son during the day for school work). With that, Mustard Mini Sessions have been emailed. If you do not see your link in your email, please reach out to me ASAP. All links will be active until December 31, 2021. Please download your images before this. If your link is not active, reach out as soon as possible so we can take care of that. With so much love and so much gratitude... xoxo

I have spent the past 5 months working a crisis line for veterans from 10pm to 3am. It has been a rewarding job and I’ve grown so incredibly much from it — as a person, as a listener, as an exhausted parent who had to wake up and be my special needs son’s teacher. It felt almost unreal to be sense some sort of normalcy yesterday — being a part of opening in Napa. Watching patrons come to dine and, for a brief moment, asking them to remove their mask for a photo. I’m pleased to say that while I was a little anxious at first, the set up is so incredible and it felt so safe — from dining to the casino. Congratulations to Ace and Vine on your opening, and to for being open. So grateful to have a camera in my hand again. (Also, their food was SO mouthwatering good I had dreams about it. And I cannot remember the last time I had a dream).
