Yesterday I sat in the dining room of my childhood home, surrounded with my family and people who I love greatly, with food on the table, blessings to give, laughter and conversation. I am so grateful to live the life I do and to be able to capture so much beauty for others. I hope your holiday was filled with truly magical moments you can hang on to, and tuck away for the hard times.

I am beyond humbled and grateful to welcome an intimate group of creatives alongside our Guest Educator, the wildly talented In the Bliss for Pacific Anthology …..A Retreat for the Motherhood Artist, (formerly The Motherhood Collective) May 22-24, 2024 in Bodega Bay, California. We truly cannot wait to curate beauty, explore our craft, create community and spend time exploring my favorite place on earth. There are just two spots left and I am eager to see who we will have the honor to impact and share space with!

I have decided to go back to school this Fall to study Speech Pathology with the hope to work with Neurodivergent children, so if you have wanted to attend one of my retreats don’t miss out! Don’t worry, I will still be doing Photography, I adore my clients and creating Art way too much, I just plan to take a sabbatical from Teaching Photography. Being able to serve and impact other Creatives has been an enormous blessing.

I have been so quiet here, it has been such a fulfilling summer doing what I love and gearing up for back to school and fall sessions! This summer was filled with family time, travel, shooting and so many adventures.

This summer Shoot Along was one of those nights when all the stars aligned…the most beautiful, joyful girls and their Mama entrenched in soft summer light and cotton candy skies. Dancing under the moon full of beauty and promise. Tifani Beecher you and your girls were such a dream to photograph and we had the most awesome group of gifted, warm photographers I could have asked for. Thank you to everyone who came and explored, laughed and created, I am grateful for all of it.✨

Upon the request of many photographers I am going to host one last 2023 Shoot Along Sunday, November 26th somewhere special in Sonoma County…stay tuned and Save the Date. 🌙

When I began The Motherhood Collective Retreat community in 2020 my ultimate dream was to bring together Artists with the common desire to capture women in all stages of Motherhood and in every form. Being able to teach again at my home with such a beautiful group of women and sessions that were serendipitous and more than I could have ever wildly imagined, was so beyond fulfilling.

In all honesty, I had envisioned this might be my last year teaching in person, but now I have confirmation I am where I am meant to be with more purpose and truth. 🌾

This time of year, that transition between Winter and Spring, when the hills are alive and vibrant and the winds are giving us the their last goodbyes are filled with a special kind of magic. This beautiful family braved crazy cold winds but brought all the connection and beauty. Anyone else just in love with the absolute dreamy movement a windy session brings?
