Senior Spotlight: Brayden Gray 🤍🏈🥍

Class of 2027 | Lakeland Preparatory School
I’m not sure there’s a better way to describe tonight’s session than full circle. ❤️

The last time I saw Brayden in person, he was just 2 or 3 years old. Fast forward all these years, and somehow I’m now the one behind the camera taking his senior portraits! I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow up from a distance over the years through Facebook, and getting to reconnect with his mom, Courtney, after high school made it even more special to eventually find myself here.

Brayden is now 17, and WOW… what an incredible young man he has become. He’s a football player, a lacrosse player, and an exceptionally talented athlete who plans to continue playing lacrosse at the collegiate level on scholarship. And after seeing him play and hearing about his accomplishments, I can absolutely understand why. That boy is GOOD. 🥍🔥

Being asked by Courtney to capture this season of Brayden’s life was such an honor. There’s something incredibly special about photographing the senior portraits of someone you remember as a little kid and realizing just how much life has happened since then. I’m genuinely so proud of how far he has come and so excited to see where this next chapter takes him.

And then there was Mom. 😂❤️

Courtney was the ultimate hype woman tonight — offering pointers, encouragement, compliments, and plenty of praise throughout the session. And somehow, she managed to pull some REAL smiles and even a few laughs out of this very serious senior boy. Those moments might just be some of my favorites from the entire evening.

Brayden, I hope you know how many people are proud of the young man you’ve become. Your future is BIG, and I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

🌸 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: HAYLEIGH | CLASS OF 2027 🌸

If there’s one thing Hayleigh knew for sure about her senior session, it was this: she wanted ALL the flowers! 🌼🌷 And honey, that’s exactly what she got! 💕 We spent the evening surrounded by blooms, sunshine, and all the pretty little details that made this session feel so perfectly her.

Hayleigh had her mama, stepdad, and Nana there to cheer her on, which made the evening even more special. There’s just something sweet about having the people who love you most right there while you celebrate this big chapter of life. 🥰

After graduation, Hayleigh plans to follow her passion for all things makeup and lashes, and I have a feeling she’s going to be one heck of a success at it! 💄✨ She has the creativity, personality, and eye for beauty to build something really special, and I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes her!

🌸✨ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT | AUDREY ELY ✨🌸

Last night was one of those sessions that reminds me just how much I LOVE senior photography. ❤️ And Audrey Ely? She absolutely lit up that field of wildflowers! 🌼🌿

Audrey is a homeschool senior with a heart full of faith, big dreams, and so much personality. She has a wonderful relationship with the Lord, and it was so beautiful to see that light shine through during her session. 🙏🏼✨

When Audrey graduates, she plans to step into the real estate world alongside her dad, following in his footsteps and building a future together. 🏡❤️ And when she isn't dreaming about her future career, you can probably find her playing basketball or softball! 🏀🥎

And let's not forget this girl has already made her mark in the pageant world—Audrey is Miss Germantown Iris Teen! 👑✨

But one of my favorite parts of the evening was getting to watch her mom love on her throughout the entire session. She was the BEST cheerleader—fixing Audrey's hair, making sure her makeup was perfect, and cheering her on every step of the way. Those little moments between a mama and her senior girl are so special, and I loved getting to witness them. 🥹❤️

We laughed, we had WAY too much fun, and somehow managed to create some absolutely SPECTACULAR images in that wildflower field. 🌸😍 I already know this gallery is going to be one for the books, and I cannot WAIT to see the rest!

Audrey, you are beautiful inside and out, and I have no doubt that God has some incredible things ahead for you. Keep chasing those dreams, keep that faith strong, and never stop being exactly who you are. ❤️

🏈❤️ GO VIKINGS! 🖤❤️

Tonight was one of those sessions that makes me LOVE what I do! I had the absolute honor of photographing the senior football boys of Fayette Academy alongside the women who have been cheering them on, supporting them, feeding them, encouraging them, praying for them, and loving them through every win, loss, practice, early morning, late night, and everything in between — their MAMAS. 🥹❤️

And can we just talk about these football moms for a minute?! Because somehow NONE of these ladies look old enough to have a son graduating this year! 😂 I’m pretty sure we need to investigate that immediately. Y’all are aging backwards!

There were so many laughs, so much personality, and just an all-around GOOD TIME tonight. Getting to see these boys with their mamas and capture this special season of life was such a sweet reminder that behind every football player is often a mama who has poured her whole heart into getting him where he is today. ❤️

And a HUGE shoutout to Created By Sissy : Lisa Stauber! 👏🏼 She helped design the AMAZING mom jerseys everyone wore tonight AND coordinated all of these photos between the team and me. Lisa, you absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🖤❤️ Your hard work made tonight come together beautifully!

To all of the Fayette Academy senior football moms — thank you for letting me capture these memories for you. ✨ And then there were three. ✨

On August 1st, I had the absolute honor of photographing Troy Oliver’s parents as they eagerly awaited his arrival. And then, just 10 days later on August 11th, sweet baby Troy made his debut! 🩵

I was so grateful that his parents welcomed me into their home to capture those first new moments together — the sleepy snuggles, the tiny details, the love, and all those little moments that somehow feel so big when you’re brand new to being a family of three.

And can we talk about Mom?! 😍 After just giving birth, she looked absolutely incredible. There is something so beautiful about seeing a mama in those first days after bringing her baby into the world — tired, emotional, completely in love, and somehow glowing through all of it. ❤️

Thank you both for trusting me to document such a special chapter in your lives and for allowing me into your home during such an intimate and precious time. These are the moments you can never get back, and I feel so lucky that I got to preserve a few of them for you.

Ian and Katie stood in front of my lens just *literal days* away from meeting their first baby — a sweet baby boy, Troy Oliver. 💙 They’re scheduled to be induced on August 10, and I still can’t get over the fact that Katie is only days away from giving birth… she was absolutely glowing and somehow barely even looks like she’s showing!

This session was especially close to my heart because Troy is their **rainbow baby**. 🌈 A rainbow baby is the beautiful baby who arrives after the heartbreak of pregnancy or infant loss, and there is something incredibly sacred about that kind of hope. Katie and I bonded over that immediately because I have a rainbow baby too, and it made this session feel even more meaningful. There’s a quiet understanding that comes with that journey — the waiting, the grieving, the hoping, and finally, the overwhelming joy of getting so close to meeting your miracle.

Ian and Katie have waited **three years** to meet this little boy, and you could feel the love and anticipation in every moment we captured together. Watching them dream about the baby they’ve longed for was such a gift.

I’m also so excited that they’ve already booked their newborn session with me, which means I get to see them again in just a few days and photograph all of those first sweet snuggles with Troy. There is truly nothing better than getting to document both the waiting and the arrival.

We are also so incredibly thankful that the weather held out for our session. With the forecast leading up to it, we weren’t sure what we were going to get, but God gave us the most beautiful evening.

Ian and Katie, thank you for trusting me to be part of this new chapter in your lives. It is an honor I don’t take lightly, and I cannot wait to meet Troy Oliver and capture the beginning of your beautiful story as a family of three. 🌈💙✨

✨ A Sweet Surprise | Emma & Tanner’s Gender Reveal ✨

Earlier this summer, I had the absolute joy of capturing such a special season in Emma and Tanner’s lives as they announced they were expecting their greatest adventure yet. Tonight, I was invited back—not just as their photographer, but as a friend—to witness another unforgettable milestone… their gender reveal! 💕

Of course, I couldn’t show up without my camera in hand. Some moments are simply too precious not to preserve.

Surrounded by so much love, laughter, and excitement, Emma and Tanner celebrated with the people who mean the most to them. Everyone made their guesses, shared their predictions, and waited anxiously to find out whether this sweet baby would be a little boy or a little girl. The joy in the room was absolutely contagious, and it was such a beautiful reminder of how loved this little one already is.

Emma and Tanner, congratulations from the bottom of my heart! It has been such a blessing to be invited into these special moments and to watch your family grow. I cannot wait to see you both back in front of my lens for your maternity session and to continue capturing this beautiful journey you’re on.

✨ **Senior Spotlight | Lillia Scruggs | Class of 2027** ✨

There’s just something special about a young lady who can light up a stage, cherish her family, and dream of building a future with her own two hands.

Meet **Lillia Scruggs**, a homeschool senior from the Class of 2027 with big dreams and an even bigger heart. After graduation, Lillia plans to attend trade school and pursue a career in welding—proving that strength, creativity, and determination make a mighty fine combination.

When she’s not spending her days with family and friends, you’ll likely find Lillia at the theater. From acting under the spotlight to helping behind the scenes, she loves every part of bringing productions to life. The stage is clearly one of her happy places, but so is home. One of the sweetest things about Lillia is the special bond she shares with her mama—they truly are best friends, and it shines through in every moment they spend together.

Last night, we captured session one of two, and it was one for the books. Her family watched proudly from afar while we explored beautiful locations, changed outfits, and laughed our way through the summer heat. Dad deserves a special shoutout for being the ultimate MVP, running outfits and props back and forth without a single complaint. By the end of the evening, I think we all earned ourselves a good workout and a tall glass of sweet tea!

Lillia, your kindness, talent, and determination are such a beautiful combination. Whether you’re stepping onto a stage, striking an arc in a welding shop, or simply making memories with those you love most, there is no doubt you’ll leave a little light wherever you go.

Some love stories don't need years to feel like home. 🤍🌻

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing sweet Mia for her senior session, and tonight she came back with someone pretty special by her side. Her boyfriend made the trip all the way down from Minnesota, and I am so thankful he did.

The entire evening was filled with the kind of laughter that can't be posed. The kind where you're giggling between photos, stealing little glances, and forgetting the camera is even there. Watching these two simply enjoy being together was one of those gentle reminders that sometimes the very best photos happen in the moments in between.

I honestly would've guessed they'd been together for years. The comfort, the ease, the way they just fit... it was such a natural connection. Finding out they've actually been together for much less time than I imagined just speaks volumes about the bond they're building. Some people simply meet and feel like they've known each other forever.

To make the evening even sweeter, we were given access to the most breathtaking private wildflower and sunflower field. It truly felt like stepping into a storybook. A huge shoutout to the wonderful owners for opening your beautiful property to us—you all are absolutely amazing, and your kindness helped create a little bit of magic tonight. 🌻✨

Mia and her guy, thank you for trusting me to capture this season of your story. If tonight is any indication, your future is going to be full of laughter, adventure, and a whole lot of joy.
