I went on an outing today at Roaring Run in Eagle Rock, Virginia. It was a beautiful day! I found all sorts of nice landscapes to photograph. This area has an iron kiln that dates back to pre-Civil War days. The paths are covered with slag, the bi-product of iron making. Some of the rocks are black, some are green, brown, and there's a few blue ones too. They're really beautiful and each one is unique. It's definitely worth the trip if you're looking for a nice spot for a day trip. Take your hiking shoes and head on up to the falls too. It's worth your time
