Class of 2026!
Welp…graduation has now came and went!
Lots of laughs AND lots of tears…still sitting in the disbelief that I’m going to be an empty nester!
As I sit in my car and reflect and write this- I don’t want to admit the tears that are flowing at this very moment!
I’m so excited for Heidi’s future and with that excitement comes grief!
I think parenthood is full of so much joy, fear and grief-from the time they are born!
“Oh they are getting so big…”
“Oh wow they are walking…”
“Oh they are now in school…”
“Oh they lost their baby teeth…”
“Oh no they don’t come out of their room…”
“Oh wow how are they driving already…”
“Ahhh they are moving across the country to college…”
And all moments in between…and all the moments still yet to come!
All sharing the commonality that we are so excited and proud and also sad ALL at the same time!
I am so proud of my girl…she is blossoming, so vibrant, so full of life, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come…
*I’m so thankful for both of my girls and that they are bonding in their own way!
*I’m so thankful my parents were able to come and share in this special time especially since travel is not as easy for them!
*So thankful for my sister and brother in law, and new niece- that they took time out to make the trek and do so many little things to make the time special!
*So thankful for our new blended family, all their love and support and patience as we are still figuring it all out!
*Thankful that the girls dad,gf and grandma and uncle hosted and made her party so fun!
*So very thankful for friends that support and listen and give tons of perspective!
*And thankful for those who could not be here but we love very much!
With all chapters that end -a new one begins and taking a moment to savor it all!
And maybe have a bit of an ugly cry as well!
Cheers to the past, present and future!
And becoming our best selves in the process!
