Some impressive stats, a dog who has gone from shelter pup to being a well-behaved, playful and goofy guy, but not one person has been serious about wanting to adopt him. It is blowing my mind. If we didn’t already have 2 big dogs, this guy would stay with us. He’s been with the Ozzie Albies Foundation for over 3 months now and has been going to Mirror Image K9 three times a week to set him up for success in his new forever home.
Many people have asked what they have to do in order to adopt him. Yes, there is an application process. The foundation wants to make sure everyone, especially Jeter, is set up for success.
Can you instead just go to the shelter and adopt a dog from there? Yes, you absolutely can and I encourage you to do so.
The difference is: Jeter comes fully vetted (and yes, that first vet appointment after getting a dog from the shelter can be expensive 🫰). He has had all of his vaccines, just had surgery to remove a little cyst (also something you don’t have to pay for💰), and has gone through training sessions (also not cheap 🤑 as you can imagine) every week since he’s been with the foundation. These are all things you don’t have to pay for anymore.
So if you are seriously interested in adopting this handsome young stud who will make each day so much brighter ☀️ and funnier 🤪, please fill out an application.
