Diving into a new and unknown situation is usually the way I learn. Talking to people and finding out more about them, their journeys, their passions, simply, what makes them get out of bed in the morning, is what I love about my job. Most people are great to work with but what makes my heart even happier is working with horses. Enjoying the peace and quiet that surrounds those majestic animals is indescribable to someone who has never experienced it. Trying to capture those moments of peace and quiet in pictures is what I try in every session. While they can be peaceful and quiet animals, they are also strong and powerful. The combination of all of those characteristics is what is so fascinating, and capturing all of this is what I’m most passionate about.

Years ago, while working for the American Cancer Society, we worked on a campaign with the fantastic Fᴇʀɴᴀɴᴅᴏ Dᴇᴄɪʟʟɪs and his team. I have always wanted to recreate it with dogs. And yes, I know I’m nowhere on his level, but this was a fun little rainy day project and thankfully all animals were up for it. Lucy, our 16-year old kitty lady was the real MVP.

Hi!

I’m your dog-obsessed photographer who will ignore your dog when we first meet. ;)

I love trash tv. My husband and I met on Tinder in 2020. I just turned 40. I was born and raised in Germany. I’m a dual citizen. I’m a pittie mom. I love horses. I think everyone should have a good therapist. I’m a pit bull and shelter dog advocate. I’ve become more strict with my boundaries in life. I love a vision board. I love meeting new people. I’m curious about people and the lives they live. I believe in ‘less thinking, more doing’ and ‘No.’ is a full sentence. I love supporting and working with local businesses. I will ask random people if I can photograph their dogs. I love grabbing a b**r and hanging with my people.

And no, I don’t take myself too seriously. Life is serious enough.
