Decided to go check out the Empire Quarry, this is where the limestone for the Empire State Building was retrieved. Over 18,000 tons of limestone was cut from this quarry and taken to New York in the 1930’s. Last year I spoke to the man that now owns the land, he said him and his family use it as their summer hangout. He said that it looked like a war zone when he purchased the land, tools and heavy equipment like the one you could see in the video were left on the property. After they got all of the limestone they needed, they up and left all of their equipment there. He said it took years to clean up but as you can tell, it looks worth it! The minerals in the limestone turns the water that color of blue naturally.

Today is the seventeenth Year Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. After seventeen years, we still remember the event's that happened on 9/11. Ground Zero is now home of the “One World Trade Center” AKA Freedom Tower that stands 1,776 feet high making this the tallest building in the United States
