In most of December and January I had no desire to work at all. I just wanted to spend time with my family in my home. This session brought back the spark for me. Full of love is exactly what it was. Some of the best people I’ve ever met showing how much they love their family and enjoying every moment together. Capturing that. It’s why I do what I do.

styled their family Valentine shoot to perfection and I loved shooting in the new studio. It is absolutely gorgeous and has amazing light. Even though I have my own studio sometimes it is fun to have a little bit of variety. This is always an option for any kind of session including brands.

As the year comes to a close, I have been reflecting on my life and how I want to be spending each moment

I am feeling a huge pull to make a shift in what I share on this account. I want to enrich the lives of others through genuine interactions, being true to myself, and creating connection.

I will be living intentionally and sharing more
of my authentic life in every aspect.

Yes, I will still be doing photography like I always have. I love serving couples, families and brands and creating beautiful images to be treasured. And yes, I will still be sharing portfolio photos here from time to time. You can still reach out to me through this account with inquiries.

However, as I strive to be more intentional in every aspect of my life I will be raising some of my prices at the start of 2025. This way I can better serve each client and give you the time and energy you deserve. At the same time I will be doing the same for myself, my home, and my family. This will give you a more high quality experience and images.

Christmas is such a beautiful day and reminder of all of the best things in the world. I had the opportunity to take some really special pictures of a model turned friend of mine this year. She is pregnant and her mom owns a donkey and sheep. We recreated a little bit of that day in Bethlehem before our Savior was born. Being creative and turning some of the photos into art was a highlight of my Christmas season. Wishing you all peace and light today and for the year to come. ✨

My baby brother is getting married today! Their first look was like a fairy tale with a Romeo and Juliet balcony. He looks like a prince and she looks like a princess. I’m so grateful to have associate shoot for me today so I can enjoy the time with my family!

I officially overdid it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I naively thought I would be feeling better 6 weeks after surgery. Or maybe I was just hoping.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I underestimated how much time I would spend at end of school functions and appointments at the end of May and beginning of this month. Adding on opening a new family business for our kids, 3 weddings and multiple other sessions, broken bones and medical procedures plus a week long business trip for my husband was more than my poor body could handle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT I still wouldn’t change a thing. I couldn’t imagine missing out on my kids’ activities, not serving my incredible clients and being a part of their big days, or not taking the chance to start a business that will be such a good thing for our kids. I am so grateful for all the help I had along the way from my husband, kids, my parents, friends and all the incredible photographers who have helped me at weddings or taken sessions for me.

I absolutely love my life and all I am able to do. I’m grateful that the rest of our summer will be quieter and my body will be able to rest more in between while still doing all the things I love! Thank you so much to my clients who have been patient waiting a bit longer than normal for their photos and for being willing to let my amazing associates take their shoots! I will be doing some shooting throughout the summer (because I love it so much), but they’re always available too and it helps both of us if you book with them!

I was able to take a good mental break from social media this weekend while I focused on editing and will most likely be on less the next few weeks. I finally feel like I’m able to sit down and get caught up on everything. If you have an urgent message or would like to book a session I will still get back to messages quickly. Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad?
If not, I have failed indeed.
Has anyone’s burden been lighter today
Because I was willing to share?
Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way?
When they needed my help was I there?

Than dream of your mansion above.
Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure,
A blessing of duty and love.
