Y’all, Christmas minis are popping up everywhere, and before you send someone your money, please do your research. 📸🎄
Both scenes in these graphics are AI generated. I purposely had them created for this post. I didn’t photograph them, and they aren’t setups I’m offering. But without that disclosure, someone could easily think they were.
Before booking, ask what you’re actually getting. Is the photo showing the real setup, an inspiration image, or a digital background that will be added afterward? Those details matter when you’re choosing and paying for your photos.
This isn’t meant to be hateful toward photographers who use AI. Using editing tools doesn’t automatically make someone dishonest. It’s about being clear with clients so they understand what will be there when they arrive and what their finished photos will look like.
And please take a few minutes to check who you’re booking with:
• Look through their previous work and tagged posts.
• Read reviews from actual clients.
• Ask to see a full gallery, not just a promotional image.
• Make sure the session details, payment terms, and what’s included are in writing.
Scammers can use stolen photos and convincing pages to advertise sessions, too. A pretty photo and a booking link don’t tell the whole story.
Ask questions, verify the photographer, and know what you’re paying for. Your family’s memories and your money deserve that.
