💚 September is PCOS Awareness Month. 💚
This isn’t just another photography special to me.
This is personal.
I live with PCOS, and if you’ve never experienced it, it’s hard to explain just how much it can affect your life. People often think it’s only about infertility, but it’s so much more than that.
It’s the weight that seems impossible to control no matter how hard you try. The acne that makes you lose confidence. The headaches. The unwanted hair growth. The insulin resistance. The exhaustion. The constant aches and pains. The doctor’s appointments. The tears no one sees. The wondering if your body will ever cooperate.
And for many of us, it’s the fear that having children may not come as easily as we’d always dreamed.
There is no cure for PCOS. Yes, it can be managed, but we don’t get a day off from it. We wake up every morning carrying something that many people can’t see , but we feel it every single day.
As a photographer, I’ve always believed photos tell stories. This September, I want to tell stories of hope.
