As nature withers, the veil separating worlds frays, unleashing unsettling whispers from beyond.

In ancient Greek lore, Persephone's tale echoes this theme. As summer's warmth fades, she descends into the underworld, joining Hades in his shadowy realm. Their union symbolizes the earth's slumber, awaiting spring's rebirth. Samhain marks this dark passage, a seasonal threshold where light yields to darkness.

This oil & moon water I created to help me move through a hard transition in my life - one that knocks you off your feet. I've been feeling so much negative energy coming towards me as I continue to rise in the darkness. Creating these to be able to take bath ritual during this time always helps so much. I'm so grateful for my craft and to be able to set this time for myself. To protect myself. Feeling safe in my body and creating a powerful shield over me. It has come to light that many are mistaking my kindness for weakness. I will not tolerate being treated this way. Growing up, I was fascinated by the eerie and unsettling world of 'Children of the Corn'.
🌾
Maybe it was the coincidence that the protagonist, Vickie, shared my name, but I think it was more than that. The creep factor of a small-town cult, led by a charismatic and terrifying leader, Isaac, left me spellbound. There's something unnerving about the idea of blind devotion and the surrender of individuality. To this day, cults remain one of the most chilling concepts for me.

The combination of these elements in 'Children of the Corn' made for a movie experience that still haunts me (in the best way possible).
