Part of my focus in Soul Shoots is finding joy and telling the truth.

After my consultation with Dionna, what immediately stood out to me was her talking about wanting to break the mold and for the world to understand strong of an advocate and forward thinker she is.

My mind immediately went to archery. I proposed it and she told me that it’s something she loves deeply—an entryway into her history as a Native American. We talked about reverence for God and the land. We talked about lost history and her tribe.

These are a few photos of our exploration into oneself and breaking that mold. ♐️

It has been awhile since I shot but my session with Dionna was, I believe, fulfilling for us both. 🌟

I’m always excited when I get to tap into the visual artist version of myself and it’s a rewarding feeling when clients let me know that I made them comfortable when they usually are not in front of a camera or working with a stranger.

I’m very proud of her. Her photos reek in confidence, which I knew they would. And we got to explore the joyful version of herself. Look out world. 💥 .
