THIS!! ❤️ Thank you to all of my amazing families that have been with me from the beginning and have stayed with me. Some sessions won't be easy... Some sessions you might not get a "perfect" photo... But you'll have memories. You'll have a friend... And if you're with me I'll always make it up to you even if it isn't my fault. It's just been a Monday... Kids are tired, hangry, and toddlered out. And there are days that the light is weird and playing tricks, I'm not feeling well, or I'm just not at my best. Together we'll make your family's memories shine... even if it is just where you are at right now in life. Crazy kids, dogs, and fun!
I'm reminded and humbled by this after this week in particular. I started a new job as the photographer for the rec leagues in our town. I'm reminded that I can't please everyone even if I So desperately want to. I'm reminded that people aren't always kind unfortunately. I'm reminded that people won't always come and talk to you but would rather be unkind behind your back. I'm reminded that I can't let people bring me down and forget why I love this So much. So thank you... Thank you to all my families that stay by my side through it all, who encourage me, even as I grow in my skills and techniques! You don't know how much it means to me. ❤️

This is something I preach often! This isn’t a gimmick to get you to book me, this post isn’t even about booking ME! Choose a photographer whose style you love, whose work you love, but also whose personality you love, who makes you feel at ease, and return to them each year!
It won’t always start out with your children being comfortable with them, most of the time it won’t feel comfortable for them at all for the first couple sessions! But if you return to them each time you need photos, your children will get used to them, get comfortable with them, maybe even hold their hand and tell them ALL the stories about school, how they got that scrape on their knee, what their brother said yesterday.. You’ll get to know them, they’ll get to know you, and your sessions will feel like a fun meet up with a friend! And as a result, your photos will show that your family is in the company of a good friend and not just a stranger with a camera.
I have families that I work with every year, my heart fills up when their kids run to greet and hug me, call me by name, run to see their photos on my camera, even hop in my car with me to drive to the next photo spot!
