Today, I sing praises to a God who unfailingly shows up. Who has held me in the hard, protected me in the darkest places and has not abandoned me once on this journey. Six years ago…I received the initial diagnosis call, on July 17th. I was up at Elk Lake, surrounded by love and here I am, years later…still surrounded. My deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for lifting me up, for comforting me, showing me love and not growing weary…you continue to stand by my side every step of the way. I declared yesterday my “Independence Day” and fell into anesthesia to my surgeon singing “All my life you have been faithful…” and woke up from surgery to a post-op nurse saying “Dr. Johnson got it all”. With the help and steady guidance of a steady Father. The most beautiful words to hear regarding a disease that has no place in my body. The journey is not entirely over yet…and I believe next steps will be radiation and continued treatment, HOWEVER in it all, as the psalmist said, I will *continue to* sing the Lord’s praise. For He has been good to me.” Amen, amen. 💗 Jenn Montoya Sozo Sanctuary
