Sometimes, you feel a little prickly. When photographing these guys, carefully watch your exposure as it is easy to blow the whites and block up the blacks, so best to do early morning or late afternoon for less dynamic range.

The three NOT so little bears. The certain challenge with group shots is to get them all looking in the same direction. Next, foot placement, an image becomes a bit over the top with good foot or paw position.

Our next video upload will be Burrowing Owls: the "Who, What, Where, When, Why and How" (WWWWWH) related to photography and general enjoyment. WWWWWH will be a general format I use for all future videos about animals, birds, reptiles, etc. This will combine photography knowledge, general scientific info, location and other specifics in addition to some nice images.

This will not be an old video just uploaded again, I deleted all the old content, this is a brand new video.

Good Day. Photography Tios: when photographing animals and people, it help to watch the backgrounds. We do not want backgrounds that distract from the main subject. Many times, if we move a couple inches to the left or right, we can get a much better background. I wanted to include the tree for a sense of place and context and I chose the red rocks so they would be much more pleasing than a plain sky. Great Grey Owl in NW Wyoming

Photography Tips: Want a challenge, photography of a group of animals. They all look different directions, they all act individually, they do not pay attention, they seldom occupy the same plane of focus, etc. So you will need wider depth of field and a bit more patience. These three finally looked in the same direction and were close enough for a moderate aperture setting.
