This year I got the honor of photograph SO MANY Sioux Falls seniors! I couldn’t be more proud of them.
Because of the position at our nonprofit (Light for the Next Generation) and working in the schools, I get to continue many of these relationships after our shoot & post grad. That is truly what means most to me.
I’ve mentioned this on my page before but senior pictures are often out of range for seniors coming from immigrant and refugee families. Not always because due to pricing but parents often don’t place value in senior pictures as it is more of a western tradition. There for, the senior is usually left without a photos of themselves or have to use their own money to pay. Even more, most schools still require a face photo for the yearbook & their spots go empty.
This is why we’re opening up an opportunity to serve! In collaboration with Light for the Next Generation, you can now sponsor a a senior. A $100 donation will secure one 2027 high school or college graduate with a 30 minute, one location, one outfit shoot. Our goal is to secure 9 spots! Donations can be made to their Cashapp $lightfornextgen or Venmo $lightfornextgen with the description “Sponsor a Senior”.
