The 45th Annual Artists of the Plains Show & Sale is coming to downtown Sioux Falls November 6–8, and I’m excited to be part of it!

This is a curated show featuring 22 talented artists working across a variety of styles and mediums. No two artists are alike, and it’s a great opportunity to meet the people behind the work, see original pieces up close, and take home something truly unique.

Candlelight on the altar, a church full of stained glass, and two people who couldn’t stop smiling at each other.

From kneeling side by side at the altar to the shoe game that had the whole room laughing, their day was full of the kind of joy you can’t pose. And that first kiss? Even the priest couldn’t hold back a grin.

It’s almost time for one of Sioux Falls’ biggest art events of the year!

I’ll be at the 63rd Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival this Saturday, September 12 from 9 AM–5 PM in downtown Sioux Falls.

With 300+ artists and vendors, live entertainment, food, and plenty to explore, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday downtown.

Eagles are one of those animals that I think we can all agree are fun to watch.

One of the questions I get asked most often is, "Where can I go see wildlife?" Unfortunately, the answer is usually complicated. A big part of my job involves going to places most people have never heard of and spending long stretches of time waiting for something to happen.

But, the Lewis and Clark Dam in Yankton is one of those places. You can pull up, fish if you'd like, enjoy a snack, and watch bald eagles do their morning fishing. It's a pretty great way to spend a morning.
