In ancient times, a w***e or the root word “kā-” just meant to desire and/or to express affection or yearning. It shares an ancestry with Latin “cārus” which relates to caress and cherish. Then there’s the Sanskrit root “kāmah.”
Kāmasutra is a multifaceted concept that translates to “desire, wish, longing, love, or pleasure.” While it is famously associated with the Ka*****ra in the West as a term for erotic love, its meaning in ancient Indian philosophy is much broader, encompassing all forms of sensory, aesthetic, and emotional fulfillment. -Wikipedia
Leave it to religion (most notably Christianity) to turn the term “w***e” into something dirty. Something they use to hold moral superiority and a way to control women in particular.
Finding pleasure in life can mean wearing the clothes that make you feel good. Moving your body in ways that feel good. And as shocking as it is to mostly men and some women, we aren’t doing any of it for the male gaze or for sexual gratification.
Pleasure is our birthright.
