Kossiwa— current graduate & future nurse Welcome to the (https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/LayersOfLoveLoop/) — We’re a community of alumni connected by our love for cinematic storytelling. We find beauty in the narrative depth of daily life, and while each of our styles is beautifully unique, we all share the same goal: to weave light, composition, and emotion into a photograph that feels like a remembered scene.
Our stories may be different, but each one is worth telling.

I’ve been experimental with my personal work lately: color grading, grain, tones, shadows and light. Pushing myself to explore and letting things be imperfect is freeing. I’m grateful to have the ability to create, adapt, and grow. I love being an artist. In a world that feels heavy, where we witness pain that words struggle to hold, we remember the core of our art: humanity.
Our cameras are tools of observation, but our hearts are the true storytellers. This week, we channel our collective lens toward the light we wish to see. We share images that speak to resilience, to kindness, to the quiet, defiant act of hope. We believe photography is not just about capturing reality, but about illuminating a path forward—a reminder that even in shadows, there is form, depth, and the potential for light.
Let’s use our platform to weave a narrative of compassion. Let’s teach through our imagery what it means to be human, to be kind, and to stand together. Our art is a testament to the world we are building for the next generation—one framed with empathy, focused on connection, and developed in love.
I can’t wait to see the hope you frame.

I spoke to the grounds keeper before entering the greenhouse. “Orchids need lots of love to grow,” she told me. We spent an hour strolling through the garden. My daughter paused often as she walked across the suspended floors, making sure to point out every flower she saw so that I didn’t miss it. The way she made sure I saw each flower made me melt.
“She needs lots of love to grow, too,” my heart whispered. And then as I watched her experience all the beauty around us, I realized I, too, need to pause often to make sure I don’t miss a moment as she grows. “You’re growing” my heart whispered to me as I took this photo. Tears filled my eyes as I packed my gear away and got into the car to go home. I sat in the parking lot and let the tears fall freely. The sun had dropped below the horizon, but I felt as if the glow of sunset surrounded me. Oh how my soul craves creating beauty. I’m so grateful to and all its incredible teachers who inspire growth, risk taking, and intention. ✨ 🥂 To more learning, more failures, and more glimpses of magic 🥂 ✨
