Eight looks good on Grady. Equal parts goofy, curious, and ready to bust out a silly pose any chance he gets. His mom brings him in every spring, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite traditions.

One photo at a time, you see the whole kid emerging. The humor, the heart, and the signature dance moves/poses he’s been practicing all year.

Memorializing an age is easy when the kid shows up with this much personality.

Sweet, silly, and full of questions and comments. That’s exactly who she was the whole session. The kind of little girl who wants to know how the lights work, why there is a bed in my studio if I don't sleep there, and why would I photograph her little brother with no clothes on, why do I have gloves on, and so much more..

She giggled at everything, asked about everything, and filled the studio with that curious, sunshine‑y energy only this age can bring. These are the moments that feel small now but turn into the stories you tell forever.

Two kids, one studio, zero predictability. These two walked in with big opinions about where they should stand, what they wanted and didn't want to do, and how fast we should be done.. and honestly, fair.

But somewhere between the wiggles and negotiations, we landed on the good stuff..the real them.
