Angel of the Waters Statue

At Central Park in NYC, the Angel of the Waters sculpture stands atop Bethesda Fountain, poised as if the angel had just descended from Heaven, to bless and help the people. Photographing her heavenly form at sunset, the sky created a beautiful contrast which illustrated the feel of our times - when dark clouds may come around and times are tough, we can look to the heavens above for the blessed touch of an angel, which can sometimes appear right there in our everyday lives, with the support of a friend and the inspiration of art like this. - May we look to this angel's form, wherever we may bring it into our lives, and find peace and hope in her gaze as she reaches a hand out to help us all.

Red Tailed Hawk on the roof

In West Hartford, CT, USA, I was walking by this building when I saw this amazing red tailed hawk perched on the roof! The hawk stayed still and allowed me to zoom in on it with my camera from the street below and even looked right at me at one point in another photo available here on my website! I'm awed by the visible power of its talons as they hang off the edge of the roof. It was a special moment to get to see this hawk so close up!

I had to pull over when I was driving home tonight to take pictures of this amazing sunset!
