This isn’t a photoshoot.
It’s how you’re seen.

If you’ve been showing up…
but not being seen the way you know you should be
this is for you.

You had me at hello.
I sit here looking at you again, and it stops me in my tracks.

I see your eyes.
Everything they carry.

Years of loving others well.
Quiet strength.
Responsibilities you have carried without complaint.

Your heart always generous.
Giving. Showing up. Holding others together.

You are their rock.

But somewhere along the way, you forgot to extend that same grace and kindness to yourself.

You have walked with strength for a long time.

But pause for a moment.

Pour a cup of coffee.
Sit with me.
Breathe.

Sometimes it feels like we leave ourselves hanging out to dry.. We give beyond our capacity. We carry so much for the people we love, and somewhere along the way we forget ourselves.

And now we are in the season of Lent.

A season that invites us to slow down.
To look inward.
To reflect.

I will be honest. I am not always good at this either. But the season gives us the space to ask the questions we often avoid.

What stories do you carry about yourself?

What is true?

What is not?

What do those stories hold for the people you love?

Do you allow yourself a resurrection story too?

Are you worthy of gentleness?
Grace?
Honor?
Being seen?

So many women over 40 stand in front of the mirror and only see what they think is missing.

What they should be.
What they used to be.

They forget the strength.

The wisdom.

The life they carry.

They forget the love that has been poured into children, families, friends, work, and communities.

They forget the courage it took to keep going when life asked more than they thought they could give.

Then something shifts.

A quiet moment.
A pause.
A deeper breath.

This is the moment many women remember who they are again.

Through portraiture, you see yourself again.

A love letter written in light.

A reminder of the strength you have carried all along.

That is the work that happens in my studio.

Right now I am photographing women for my 40 Over 40 Portrait Series, a project celebrating the strength, beauty, and stories of women in this extraordinary season of life.

If something in your heart stirred while reading this, listen to that.

That quiet voice is the part of you that remembers.

This is the type of work we do in a portrait session. We unfold and dig in. This is not just about pretty pictures.

If you’re thinking of a session, reach out to me; I’d love to have a conversation.

Does your visual presence match the authority you carry?

There comes a season when women are holding more than ever.

You are building businesses.
Leading communities.
Navigating children at every stage of life while carrying new responsibilities for the people who once cared for you.

Women in this season carry wisdom, strength, and experience that deserve to be seen.

I am opening 10 spots for my Like a Boss Branding Experience, created for women entrepreneurs who are ready for images that finally reflect the level they have stepped into.

This is a fully guided portrait experience that includes planning, styling guidance, and directed posing so you can relax and show up fully as yourself.

Message me, "BOSS", for the details.

Growth is forged in the quiet hours.

Excuses grow smaller,
and courage becomes the only clear way forward.

The path feels clunky, messy even, and far from graceful.
We don’t realize it at first, but every step counts.

Discipline becomes devotional.
That devotion, almost unnoticed,
becomes transformational, life-changing in ways we never expected.

It’s time.

A new path has begun.
A second act is unfolding,
and now you’re stepping into your brand.

The most powerful photographs don’t begin with a camera.
They begin the moment a woman decides to show up as she is.

To be seen.
To be present.
To stand in her integrity and say,
“I’m here.”

That’s where presence becomes unforgettable.

The work begins long before the camera is lifted.
It begins with you,
and with a personal branding consultation designed to bring clarity, confidence, and direction to your story.

Because this isn’t about saying “cheese.”

THIS is about showing up with intention and truth
so what is captured reflects who YOU really are.

Stop waiting for permission.
The story is already yours. Claim it.

There comes a moment when a woman realizes she’s been slowly disappearing.

Not all at once.
Not dramatically.
But quietly, through compromise after compromise.

She gave her calm to keep the peace.
Her time to manage someone else’s emotions.
Her voice to avoid conflict.

Her body learned vigilance.
Her spirit learned to brace.

She called it love.
She called it loyalty.
She called it being understanding.

Until one day, the cost became undeniable.

Her peace was gone.
Her emotional safety had eroded.
And the woman she used to be felt far away.

She had abandoned herself.

And then she realized something important.

Finding herself again didn’t come through fixing anyone else.
It came through, choosing HERself again.

Through choosing steadiness over chaos.
Boundaries over explanations.
Presence over proving.

She didn’t harden.
She didn’t disappear.
She came home.

Home to herself.

This is what self-respect looks like when it finally speaks.

No longer negotiating YOUR presence:
Not for comfort.
Not for approval.
Not for borrowed peace.

Portraiture is a love letter to yourself.

Love Letters to Myself, Vol. I

There’s a moment that happens when a woman stops trying to fix herself

and simply allows herself to be seen.

Not posed.
Not performing.
Not waiting for permission.

This is what Elevate has been teaching me. It nudges quietly, and you can't help but hear it fully

Confidence isn’t created, it’s revealed.

When you stop shrinking.
When you stop apologizing for your presence.
When you let joy show up on your face without asking if it’s “too much.”

This isn’t about a dress or a photo.
It’s about claiming the version of yourself that already exists
and letting her step forward.

✨ This is what it looks like when alignment meets embodiment.
✨ This is what happens when a woman chooses herself.

If you feel that quiet nudge inside that says “I’m ready”—
trust it.

You don’t become her later.
You let her be seen now.

Don’t second-guess yourself.
You already know.
Book the session.

What are you hiding from?
That question stops me cold every time I hear it.

That’s what my mentor, Cat Ford-Coates, asks us often.
And every time I hear it, it cuts right through me.

Because the truth is, we’re all hiding from something.
For so long, I thought it was just me.
But I'm learning in this class. . . It’s not.

We hide behind excuses that we think might sound reasonable.

“When I lose the weight.”
“When I’m more successful.”
“When my kids are grown.”
"When I have more time."

And I get it.
I’ve said it all and more ten thousand times. I'm the queen of hiding.

But yesterday I heard this one AGAIN.
“I’m too old to be photographed.”
And it hit me:

I said, Wait? What? How could you be too old to be photographed?

She laughed and said, “Well, I’ve never really been into that, and I'm 62.”

And then I thought about it all the way home and into today.

I hear Cat in my ear.
“What is she hiding from?
What are you hiding from?”

When I hear that phrase, I hear,
“I don’t want to see how much I’ve aged.” "How much weight I've gained." “When I wasn’t photographed when I was young, I missed my chance.”

But that’s the lie we tell ourselves to avoid the mirror.
To avoid proof that time has moved on.

We look around and see how much things have changed,
And we don’t want to see what’s changed in us, too.

Here’s what I know.
That life you lived, loving those people so raw, was unforgettable.
And this life you live now is the reward.

Photographs aren’t just about what we look like.
They’re about remembering who we are
and reminding them of who WE WERE.

Photographs capture the bittersweet truth THAT we lived.
We loved. And we’re still here and even as time goes on without us. . . THAT WE LIVED.

Portraits hold our past, present, and future.

I'll say it again because it’s true.

Portraits hold our past, present, and future.

The version of you that loved.
That tried.
That survived.
That kept showing up.

Being seen isn’t about ego.
It’s about honoring the sacred gift of being alive.

You’re not too old, you should hide.

You’re too beautifully human to stay hidden.

And if your heart’s beating a little faster right now, stay close.
Something beautiful is coming —
an offer that’s meant to remind you just how unforgettable you are.

I can’t wait to share what’s in store.
✨ Reach out to me for the details and additional offers.

She’s the one people turn to when life feels heavy.
The one who listens. The one who helps others find their way back to peace.

But sometimes, even the ones who hold space for everyone else
need a moment to be seen.

This portrait isn’t about perfection.
It’s about reflection,
about a woman who spends her days helping others heal,
finally allowing herself to be still,
to take up space,
and to remember she is enough.

✨ Connection. Empowerment. YOU.

This week is about celebrating women who are ready to see themselves
, and their calling, for what it truly is.

Stay tuned, something beautiful is coming.
