One year ago today, Edward Van Halen left the building. His inspiration has been with me for years…and not just his playing. His style, his childlike excitement about his craft. His innovation and his philosophy. Oddly enough, the one thing about the man that sticks with me more than the music he created, is a line he said during an interview…”it’s musical theory, not fact…there are no rules…” Dammit, I love that. And I apply it to my version of photography. Hell, I apply it to pretty much every aspect of my life…there are no rules.

Thank you, EVH…you may not be with us physically anymore, but you will always be here.
