Shelby + Juan had the sweetest wedding at My Old Kentucky Home yesterday, despite Mother Nature giving us a run for our money! With a hard pivot from the garden to the rotunda, from the veranda to the ballroom, they exchanged vows and partied with their nearest and dearest while the weather decided to show itself in ultra-dramatic fashion. Didn't stop any of us from having a great time, though!

Picture this : your first date is on a slice of Kentucky’s finest bluegrass. Perhaps you’re flanked by acres of wildflowers. You’ve pulled up in your truck, and I’ve helped you prep for her described dream date. I give you a few minutes to get to know each other, we dive right into shooting. It goes so well that y’all end up with a little smoochin’, numbers are exchanged and 10 years from now, you’re sitting on your front porch, telling your kids that your met their Momma at a blind date disguised as a photo session. (I’ve also had the privilege of photographing your engagements, wedding, maternity and births up to that point because yanno, matchmaking privileges.) You watch the sunset with your kiddos and it reminds you of that first night - the night you fell in love with their Mother.

I've always wanted to do one of these, so ... let's freakin' gooooo!

Lemme present to you the Shoot Your Shot Sesh, where you trust me - a crusty middle aged lady that's been married for 19 years (and has a spectacular marriage at that) - to set you up on a blind date. First date just happens to be a photo session and we all get to see the results (and root for you in the meantime).

For our first round, I am looking for a blue collar dreamboat no younger than 24 and no older than 31. Responsible. We love some facial hair. Traditional values that respects & spoils women. A truck is a non-negotiable. And boy? You better be tall because we have a 6' minimum.

And before you ask? Yes, she's smart, successful AND hot. Triple threat all day.
