The lie that once you become a believer, lay you life down, and begin to follow the Lord, your path will be easy, is a dangerous lie. It will cause you to lose hope and trust in Him if you don't know the truth. The truth is, God never once said it would be easier, but He did say He will never leave you. Read the life of David or any of the Apostles. The calling on their lives caused persecution and even death. God's is still pouring out His manna even in the desert. Watch for it.
Over the last year, I've seen persecution from the enemy like I've never experienced or understood before. I still don't completely understand what's happening most days, but it's beautiful because I get to watch the Lord provide freedom from each one.
These may come in forms you would never realize. The enemy is crafty. You may start seeing issues in your marriage, finances, depression, friendships, loss, or doubt.
When you step out and give your yes to the Lord, be prepared and make sure you study up on His armor. It's a fight and the most important one you will ever enter into. We must know how the enemy works so we are able to identify his schemes and crush him . Luke 10:19 says we are given that power. Use it. Be ready. Be willing.
