I recently discovered that rainy day sessions are one of my FAVORITES! Also, so is this Mama and her sweet family… I’m so thankful photography brought us together, and for this friendship that has grown into one I never knew I needed. .photo, I adore your little family so much, and watching you two become parents has been truly amazing. Your love and faith is so inspiring, Vivi is the luckiest little girl. I LOVE that you didn’t hesitate for a second when I suggested a rainy day sesh, boots were ordered within minutes! Carissa and Richmond had the most sweetest, intimate, and personal wedding ceremony, shared between just the two of them and their adorable son. I’m so grateful to have not only photographed it, but I was also their witness! Such a special moment to share.

A little back story, Carissa is a very good friend of my Sister, she called me on a Wednesday and told me they were getting married on Friday! So of course I did what I had to do to rearrange my schedule and be there! I had to keep it a secret from my Big Sis until they shared the news with their family and friends later that day.

There are no words to describe the feeling that many of us have, watching the tragedy that has destroyed our communities. The overwhelming sense of sadness covering California and even those watching from all over the world. We feel helpless, and are doing whatever we can to offer whatever we have.

These guys though… these men and women who risk their own lives, leave their own families, stay up for days at a time, going into the flames and smoke of the worst fires our state has ever seen. It’s unimaginable. THEY ARE OUR TRUE HEROES. There are no words big enough to thank them. To every single firefighter who came from near or far, working endlessly… THANK YOU. We see you. We pray for you. We’re here for you. 🙏🏼
