Thanks for stopping by! My name is Lynn Jordan and I live on the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Mike, and our cat Riley. When Mike gave me a camera a few of years ago, I discovered that I have a passion for photography - to

capture images that might otherwise go unnoticed and be lost forever. Lower Alabama, or LA as it is called down here, has so many diverse photographic opportunities; from the beaches, bays and rivers to the small towns and farms that I remember from my childhood growing up in Central Alabama. I have fallen in love with the Bon Secour River and its surrounding community. This area has a deep tradition in the Alabama Sh*****ng and Fishing Industry, and I have come to specialize in images of the local shrimp boats. It has become my mission through my photography to support our local sh*****ng families by reminding people to purchase Alabama Gulf Seafood. I also try to promote the area, which relies so heavily on the tourist industry, by sharing its beauty with others through my photos. I took this photo 11 years ago (my, does time fly!) at Nelson's Marina. It has always been one of my favorite Christmas images. There was an older couple - some of my Bon Secour friends would know their names - who lived on a large steel hulled boat there called E-Z Living. I would photograph this marina often and always enjoyed the music that came from their boat and all the flowers and knickknacks that decorated their area of the dock. Then one day the music wasn’t playing, and it seems that I remember someone telling me that she had passed away. I think of them when I go back and look at these old photos. I guess they never knew how much I enjoyed their little piece of paradise.

While in the Seattle area to board a cruise ship to Alaska, Mike and I got to spend the day with our daughter, son-in-law, and his parents sightseeing in Mt. Rainier National Park. Derek is from the Seattle area and his parents still live there. It was wonderful to have locals show us the beautiful sights around Mt. Rainier!
