In the category of things that would cause me to die instantly of fright...

The Green Anaconda is the biggest snake in the world (by weight, reticulated pythons technically can be longer). Inhabiting rivers in South America, this largely aquatic snake conceals its great size by staying beneath the surface.

If I ever was so foolish as to be swimming in the Amazon River and saw this thing pop up out of the corner of my eye, I could save any predator the energy of the hunt, as I'm certain I'd just expire on the spot.

I spent a lot of time trying to get this one right in camera, but the angle and the humidity in the habitat made it really challenging to get a clean, sharp image. This beautiful snake was positioned perfectly for a really neat shot, though, and I did my best to do the scene justice!!

There was no getting around this mesh in this shot, but I did my best here. These two were my FAVORITE at the park. So darn cute with those little tiny faces!! Especially the little chocolate screamer-so darn adorable.
