Now celebrating its 30th year, Taste of Wheaton has been bringing the community together since 1996 to experience the flavors, cultures, and entrepreneurial spirit that make Wheaton one of the region’s most exciting places to eat and explore.

On Sunday, June 7th, Marian Fryer Town Plaza will once again fill with the aromas, music, and energy that make Wheaton such a special place to connect. Thousands of residents and visitors come each year to sample food from local restaurants, discover small businesses, and experience live entertainment and cultural performances throughout the day.

Steeze Burger is a highly acclaimed local smash burger concept that was named the number one burger in the DMV by The Washington Post. Founded by local resident Hunter Karametos, it started as a massive hit food pop-up in 2022 before expanding & now opening their first location in Gaithersburg, MD 🍔

L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival has announced it will be at Westfield Wheaton May 15-25. The carnival features rides, midway games, food, and other family-friendly attractions. The event will be located at Westfield Wheaton, 11160 Veirs Mill Rd in Wheaton. LE.A.D. Fest is part of L.E.A.D., Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence, a nonprofit that raises funds for evidence-based drug and violence prevention programs used by law enforcement agencies and schools. Lakeforest Redevelopment Project Update 🚧 as of today, Friday, May 8th, 2026.

What I’m hearing now is that by the end of this month, the entire structure that used to be Lakeforest Mall will be completely demolished. We are on site every week capturing updates & will continue to provide progress reports for the duration of this project.
