In the summer of 2009, Megan decided on a spur of a moment she wanted to be a photographer. She went to Wal-Mart at midnight that night and bought a Fijifilm digital camera for $100. Just a couple of short years later, she discovered her love of Canon, and has never looked back. She has trained with photography geniuses and keeps shoo

ting to further cultivate her craft.

Megan's work has been published in The Lufkin News, Longview News-Journal, Charm East Texas and Texas Forest Country Living.

When she's not photographing the people, places and things around her, Megan shares the stories of East Texans through the weekly newspaper San Jacinto News-Times, where she serves as editor. She also enjoys being with her family, laughing at her own jokes, missing the mountains, singing karaoke, and obsessing over her cats, Lucy and Felix.
