Sunrise family session at South Lido Beach, Sarasota.

We started at 7 in the morning, right as the sun came up. That is why I like early sessions. The beach is empty, the light is low and soft, and nobody is squinting into it.

Three kids and a dog. I never ask anyone to hold a pose, because almost nobody looks like themselves on command. I set something up, step back, and shoot what happens in between. The running, the laughing, the moment one of them looks at the other and forgets I am there.

In an hour I shoot well over a hundred frames. Every photo you get back is edited by hand, full size, no watermarks, in 2 to 5 days.

Large family groups are my specialty 📸

When a few families come together on vacation - grandparents, their kids, the grandkids - and everyone needs a photo to remember it, that’s exactly the kind of session I shoot most, and shoot well.

Here’s how it works: we start with the full group together. Then I break it down into smaller groups - each family on its own. Kids, parents, grandparents. I usually fit in portraits too. So you don’t walk away with five near-identical “everyone look at the camera” shots - you get a full session with every combination covered.

Early morning is the best light for this kind of work. The sun sits low and soft, no harsh shadows. The beach is empty. Nothing to wait for, no one in the way.

A fitness session. Movement, running, stills. The model knows what she’s doing — my job is to pick the moment and the frame.

I’ve been shooting video for over 10 years — weddings, commercials, yachts, real estate. But I’ve never enjoyed my work as much as I do now with photography 🤍
Video is always big projects. A lot of prep, a lot of discussion, complex and different every single time. Sometimes it really tested me.
These days I take on more small, simpler jobs — and those are exactly the ones that bring me the most joy. Because of people’s reactions, because of the reviews, because of that real, human connection.
With photography, I don’t have to plan out nearly as much in advance — and I love that. Sure, every session is still different: a different beach, different weather, different people, emotions. But that’s the beauty of it — finding the key to people, helping them open up, catching something real, and leaving them with that memory.
And it’s twice as good when people value it. When you do what you love — and get to live from it.
So — I love you guys. My clients, you’re the best. I feel good around you, and I’m truly grateful we keep finding each other 🤍

This one was planned way in advance - just between the groom and me. To her, it looked like a regular family session with her parents on Siesta Key Beach. She had no idea.
Here’s the fun part: right in the middle of the shoot, her parents quietly slipped me the ring. At the perfect moment, I asked her to turn toward the bay - and while she was looking out at the water, I secretly passed the ring to him.
A few seconds later, he was already down on one knee 🥹
And then something you can’t plan for happened: the moon came out. Right on time, like it was part of the script. The last shot turned out so atmospheric I keep coming back to it.

“We don’t love posing - that’s why we reached out to you” 🤍
One of my favorite spots on Anna Maria Island. A family of four. And the first thing they told me: “We don’t love posing - we love your lifestyle work, that’s why we reached out.”
Honestly? Best way to start a session.
Because I’m not the photographer who lines you up, says “smile at the camera,” and calls it a day. That kind of shot exists - but it’s a small part of what I do. The real stuff happens when people forget the camera is even there: the laughing, the movement, the little glances between each other.
Yes, I’ll guide and set up certain frames when it helps. But most of what I shoot, I catch on the go - alive, natural, and completely yours. And a lot of it depends on you too: how ready you are to relax and just be. So every session is a little different.

P.S. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been a lot of sessions lately - two, three, sometimes even four a day, and it’s just hard to find time for posts. But I promise to do it more often 🤍

A quiet walk. Beautiful architecture. A little greenery. A private pier. The beach just a few steps away.

That’s what caught my attention during this session at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort.

What I like most isn’t any one particular spot - it’s how many different looks you can get without ever leaving the property. Within a short walk, you can move from elegant architecture to a beach atmosphere, then to the pier, and create a completely different feel in your photos.

This session was simple, relaxed, and natural - just two people enjoying time together while I documented a small piece of their story.

I’ll probably share a few more sessions from this location in the coming weeks, including family photos. There are still a few corners of this property I’d like to show through different types of sessions.

One of the cloudiest evenings on Siesta Key - and it still had its own beauty.

We didn’t get the full sunset this time. The sun stayed hidden, but one little ray still found us. And honestly, that was enough.

The mood was special, the evening was soft, and the memories are here now - just like always.

Senior season 🎓
There’s this specific feeling right before everything changes. You’re not quite done with one chapter, and the next one hasn’t started yet. That in-between moment is exactly what I want to capture.
Senior photos aren’t really about the outfit or the location — they’re about who you are right now. Before college, before the move, before all of it. And honestly, those sessions are some of my favorites to shoot — because at that age, personality just comes through naturally. No overthinking, no stiff poses. Just real.
