This family is a little extra special to me! Their mom has been a good friend of mine for the past 8 years, and babysitting her kids was my high school job. Now here I am taking their family pictures! Crazy how fast time goes. 🤎

There’s plenty of personality in this crew, and boy did it show! A little running, a little twirling, and everyone doing their own thing. I sure love getting to capture these moments for a family I’ve known and loved for so long!

And kids will be kids! Please don’t feel like your family has to be perfectly behaved to book a session with me. There’s room for running around, being silly, taking breaks, and all the chaos in between. Trust me, I’m a little wild too, so we can be wild together for a bit! Just bring your family as they are, and we’ll work with the rest. 🤎

Loved everything about this session. from the booking process to the delivery. This senior’s mom(such a sweet soul) reached out to me for a senior session, and we got together beforehand to talk about what to expect. She said he wasn’t interested in sports, but he sure loves fishing! He wanted to show his redneck hillbilly side, and boy did he! 🎣

From the dress clothes to the bibs, the confidence this kid had was something else! He pulled off both, and I had so much fun capturing it. Give him a fishing pole and let him be himself—that’s what it’s all about!

A little vulnerable post about what 2027 is going to look like for Steele Shots. 🤍

This year has been an absolute BLESSING, but your girl is TIRED.

If you know me personally, you know I’m someone who likes to think she can handle it ALL. And apparently, I’m not as good at that as I thought. And I’m finally coming to terms that that’s completely okay. My close friends have told me multiple times that I tend to overdo myself. And the fact that the people around me can see how much I’m pushing myself before I can even recognize it says a lot.

But here’s where I’m going to get a little more vulnerable.

Photography has started taking a toll on my personal life. My boys see me sitting behind a computer more than they see me down on the floor playing with them. I’ve spent almost every weekend shooting, and when I’m not shooting, I’m editing. Even if that means sacrificing sleep just to wake up early and jump right back into mom mode.

And truthfully? That breaks my heart a little.

I love photography SO much, but I never want to become so busy capturing everyone else’s memories that I forget to make my own.

So, in 2027, I’m choosing to SLOW DOWN. 🤍

I’m not putting my camera away, but I will be taking on very limited sessions each month. I want to be more present as a mama, a wife, and honestly, just take better care of myself.

My boys are only little once, and I don’t want them remembering Mama always being behind a computer.

This little business has grown beyond anything I could’ve imagined, and I have YOU guys to thank for that. I am forever grateful.

I’m going to be honest… this was one of those sessions that had me sooo nervous beforehand, and by the time it was over, I was just in awe. 🤍

We went out to her family’s farm and just went with the flow. Between the sunflowers, hay bales, and that old turquoise truck, there was something beautiful everywhere we turned. And she made it all look so effortless!

I left feeling so inspired. So excited to share these with you! 🌻

These two were such a sweet couple and so excited to have their engagement photos taken! We took these back in July when the mosquitoes were EVERYWHERE, but these two were such good sports and kept smiling through it all!

Okay, these two made it HARD to narrow down which photos to share! The way they look at each other, the laughs, the picnic setup… and can we have a moment for that ring?! 😍

Since this was an engagement session, I focused mostly on the two lovebirds, but you know I had to sneak in some family portraits! Their little one clearly had a few ideas about who should be the star of the show. 😂💕 And honestly? Fair enough. Look at that face!
