Okay, I think it’s time we reintroduce ourselves. 👋🏻

If you’re new around here, hi! I’m Samantha. And if you’ve been here for a while… you probably know my camera, my work, and my random thoughts, but maybe not the girl behind all of it. 😂

So let’s fix that.

I’m a wedding + couples photographer based in Ohio, but I will happily pack my bags and meet you wherever your love story takes you. ✈️

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three little humans who keep us laughing, humbled, and very, very busy. Our house is rarely quiet, my coffee is rarely hot by the time I finish it, and somehow I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

A few things you should probably know about me:

👵 I have such grandma hobbies nowadays... Gardening, cut flowers, baking sourdough, making food from scratch, canning food from my garden, etc. What should I get into next?

🥤 Diet Coke is basically a food group in my house. Diet Coke Cherry has a chokehold on me currently.

💇‍♀️ I have an ongoing internal debate about whether I should chop all my hair off, which as you can see that I actually followed through with it this time. And I'm kind of obsessed.

✈️ I will never turn down an opportunity to explore somewhere new. Like ever.

😂 I will probably make a terrible joke during your session just to get you to genuinely laugh. I promise I'm not weird, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

And maybe most importantly…

One of the biggest things that shapes how I see my work is my faith. I believe God created me with a creative heart for a reason, and I love getting to use that gift to see things a little differently. I’m always looking for the beauty people might miss...the tiny details, the in-between moments, the way light falls, the way someone looks at the person they love. I truly believe there is so much beauty to be found when we slow down and learn to see things through the perspective God has given us. 🤍

Three posts in three days. WHO AM I?! 😂

All jokes aside, I’m really trying to find my rhythm again when it comes to social media and posting consistently.

If I’m being honest, social media is usually the last thing on my plate. And when that plate gets really full (hello, busy season 👋🏼), posting, showing up online, and keeping up with everything here is usually the first thing to go.

But the truth is, I really do love this little online community. 🤍 I love getting to share the beautiful moments I’m capturing, connect with so many of you, and let you get a glimpse into this crazy, beautiful life and business of mine. So I’m making more of an effort to show up here...even when the season is busy.

Some wedding days just *feel* different.

From the first details to the last dance, Kinley & Derek's day at the Canal House was overflowing with love. It wasn't just beautiful because of the venue or the carefully planned details...it was beautiful because every person there poured their heart into making the day exactly what the two of them had dreamed of.

One of my favorite parts? Kinley's brother created every single floral arrangement. Knowing they were designed with so much love made them even more meaningful. Even if that meant that their basement was practically a flower shop the week leading up to the wedding, it was so worth it. Family and friends came together in countless ways behind the scenes, and you could truly feel it in every moment. There was so much joy, so many happy tears, and the kind of love that filled every corner of the room.

This wedding was a reminder that the most unforgettable celebrations aren't about perfection but more so about the people who show up, serve one another, and celebrate wholeheartedly.

And on a personal note, this day meant even more to me. Just weeks before, I had undergone an unexpected emergency surgery and wasn't sure how soon I'd be back behind my camera. Being there just 16 days later to witness and preserve a day like this felt like such a gift, and I left with a heart full of gratitude.

Kinley & Derek, thank you for trusting me with your story. What a beautiful beginning to a lifetime together. 🤍

I don’t just pose you and hope for the best. I guide you. I prompt you. I create movement, conversation, and little in-between moments that feel natural and not stiff or overly styled.

A small shift of your hands.

A “walk toward me like you’re late for dinner.”
