This is a photo of Cody and Maddy from their wedding in 2017. Yesterday we lost Maddy to lymphoma. She fought her cancer hard, especially for her family.

Maddy was thoughtful & generous with a big heart, helping raise 4 wonderful children with her husband who loves her deeply. She was also a no-nonsense person who spoke up for what she believed. My brain is still trying to wrap around the fact that she is gone. I grieve for her family!

Maddy is deeply missed.

I asked Gracia to describe her wedding in 3 words. She said, “moody, romantic, elegant.”

With the downtown pictures, I tried to lean into the moody feeling she was going for.

It was touching to witness the way family and friends came together as a community to help make their day so special.

What I loved most, was seeing lots of familiar faces! I've been a wedding photographer for 3 of the bridesmaids! 💕
