Allow me to reintroduce myself….
I need to fill some space on my grid, and since I have some new followers on here, I’ve decided to use this moment to do another “get to know me” for folks new & old.
My name is Madylin Nixon-Taplet. I am a Creative Portrait Photographer who specializes in ethereal hyper-realism. A term I made up that essential says I live in and photograph from the ethereal realm. I’ve described my style in the past as depicting the world through a rose-colored lens with Black lace wrapped around the edges, and in truth, I just make it a point to see beauty in spaces that many folks miss.
I am also an Educator/ Program’s Director for The Beautiful Project (check em out). A part-time poet of life, fulltime mother, nurturer, friend, Black woman & the love of ‘s life.
I meet people where they are in their humanity and expect the same in return. If depth is your game, I am here to play a cute round with you beneath the waters. And if you’re more comfortable staying on the surface, I don’t mind taking a moment to share that light air alongside you.
I am a beautiful believer in the zodiac’s teachings.

I carry the spirit of PHEöNIX. Only a few souls have truly known her, and that, in itself, is a gift (iykyk).
But be mindful of her fire. Because the color of her flame will always reflect how you choose to meet it.
And if you’ve ever had the pleasure of being in front of my lens, then you’ve had the honor of meeting Önwa. The guidance who carries my creativity from one world to another & back again.
I love the work that I do. I love the freedom it gives me to be exactly who I know I am, and that I get to teach others how to bring that kind of joy into their own lives through expressive storytelling, artistic passion and self-discovery.
