This one feels a little extra special to me

I’ve been photographing Aubrey since she was just a little girl… and I honestly can’t believe how grown, confident, and beautiful she is now. Getting to watch that over the years is something I’ll never take for granted.

And then add Nelson into the mix—these two are just SO much fun. They laugh the whole time, they’re playful, and nothing feels forced. It’s the kind of session that doesn’t feel like “posing” at all… just real moments, real connection, and so much joy.

THIS is exactly the kind of shoot I love. The ones full of laughter, where everyone leaves smiling, and the photos end up feeling just as good as the moment did.

Welllll… prom pictures didn’t exactly go as planned 🤣

Aiden & Makayla pulled up and the rain said “not today,” but let me tell you—these two did NOT let it ruin a thing. They were the best sports, laughed through it, and just rolled with whatever I threw at them. Honestly, sessions like this end up being my favorite.

And I have to talk about Aiden’s boots for a second…
He wore his grandfather’s ostrich cowboy boots, and knowing how much that means to him (and his mama) just makes these photos hit different. Those are the kinds of details that make pictures so much more than just pictures.

Aiden & Makayla, y’all were so easy and fun to shoot—even in the rain—and it shows.

Also, let this be your reminder: it does NOT have to be perfect to be beautiful. Some of the best moments come from the unexpected.🩷

There are some sessions that just stay with you… and this was absolutely one of them.

This senior is the kind of beauty that goes so much deeper than what you see in a photo—though let me just say, she could easily be in front of a magazine cover. From the moment she stepped in front of my camera, her confidence, kindness, and genuine spirit just radiated.

But what I loved most? The way she carries herself. Strong, graceful, and completely herself. That kind of beauty can’t be posed—it just is.

Amari, I hope you see what I see when you look at these images. You are stunning, inside and out, and your future is so incredibly bright. Never dim that light.

Life has been full lately—full of kids’ schedules, full of responsibilities, full of moments that pulled me away from sharing the work I love so much. But photography has always been where I feel so much joy… I get to freeze time, capture emotion, and remind families how beautiful their story really is.
