Good morning!

***Let me just add this in bc if you know me- you know I am not a confrontational person and people are going to think I’m angry and writing them off Santa’s good list. . I normally just bite the bullet and deal .. but I don’t have a lot extra in me this season of the year and double the work is just not on my agenda. This is NOT directed toward anyone specific .. or any situation.. it’s just as a whole - me begging- that for future stuff, just take a quick minute to read or reread and look for the answer to a question. By all means- please as questions if I haven’t made the answer easy to find. I’m not trying to x anyone off the island here .. I just need some help 😵‍💫 lol****

Random early morning post.

I put a lot of time and energy into the emails, messages, reminders, questionnaires, and info I send to you. Just about any question you might have, is answered within one of those forms of communication I send out. Please, please read what I send. I put what I put in there, for a reason. It is all meant to make your session the easiest, enjoyable experience that you can have on picture day. From session expectations, turn around times, pricing, what to bring, what not to bring, address/location, you name it- it’s in there. I’ve even taken the time to make a short little bullet point section on some forms that shortens the info to a quick few lines for those who ‘don’t have time to read it’.
Why is this info necessary? Well, let me list the ways:
Session preparation- if we know better we do better.
Safety.
Decreases back and forth communication which all costs time on both ends.
Clear expectations. . and so on.

So please, for the love of everything- go take a minute on the toilet, and read what I send. I am very much trying to not go the Ai response route or hiring someone to manage my emails/messages, but the amount of time I’ve spent answering questions to which I’ve sent the info for, multiple times- is a lot.

On the other side- I do very much appreciate those who read it! And I know if you do, trust me. And I appreciate those who tell me how efficient I am from info to scheduled send-outs.. and how the info in there was so helpful.

Okay- that’s the end of my rant. I’m coming to mid busy season, with my next rush of Holiday coming right up.. so time is sparse at most these days.

As we approach our first round of Holiday Minis in just under 2 weeks- I just wanted to put out some reminders while you are planning for the day!
2 sets this year - we will do your primary choice first and then if there is time and you want to do the 2nd set, we can.
Time- I shortened the timeframe this year back to 15 minutes. Please be mindful that that is it - I have people coming every 20 min on the dot.
Try your outfits on RIGHT NOW! Don’t be that mom stopping at target on the way to the session bc shoes don’t fit anymore .. or the dress is too itchy .. or the pants are too short. DONT DO IT. This is your reminder so there is no excuse. 😁
The Winterland set, is on the floor. Sitting, snuggly poses only. Pajamas or regular clothes.. Elf costumes encouraged 😉
A Classic Christmas is the other set. Sitting and standing poses. Traditional Christmas vibe - but on the neutral side so anything clothing wise will work with the set.
If you have not booked yet- there is still space. If you are someone with kiddos who need extended time- please reach out and I will put you at a time where we can roll over if needed.
If you wear contacts on occasion- I recommend wearing them for these sessions or go blind for 8 minutes 😁
Arrive early. 5-10 minutes.. and wait patiently in your car. I will text when I’m ready for you. When it’s your turn- gather the kids and hurry in. It will be quick and hopefully painless.!
Do not stress. It’s not worth it. We will get through it. Put a smile on your face and ignore the bowl of milk that was spilt that morning, the fact that your husband snored all night, or that the dog s**t on the carpet. You have 10 minutes of putting on your game face and shining as bright as you can. You can do it! And if kid 2, 3, 6… is opting to pout the whole time- well, that is what stage of life they are in and we just have to roll with it. Nobody will judge you.. and honestly- a pouty crying photo always gets more attention than a smile one! It just is how it is. So- just roll with it.. we will be okay!
Please leave the stroller-carriers in the car. The amount of stuff that is tracked in the studio from those is more than I’d like to handle on a full day of minis lol. I do not have time to vacuum after every family. It’s really easiest to pop the babe out at the car, carry them in, carry out and pop them back in the seat. I do these sessions year after year and every year I say I’m going to bring attention to this and don’t- and regret it. So here it is.
Bring cash for balance.
Don’t forget to add me to your Christmas card mailing list! I hang them up every year all year for everyone to see and remind me why I offer these sessions 🩷 last year I had 38 cards- I’d like to beat that this year!

This is not my usual post but I’m potentially in need of something so I’m coming to where I know I’ll find someone.
Do you have a handy spouse, particularly with experience putting in wood fence posts ?
Does your spouse owe you for being gone in the woods for hours on end, week after week, leaving you to deal with kiddos on your own?
Does your spouse love when you sign them up for random tasks without asking them?

I need to have some fence posts put in.. dig, stone, cement, posts .. done. .
I am fairly handy myself - I just do not have knowledge in this area and really don’t have the time to attempt this alone right now and I really want it done before snow comes.
I am looking to trade a mini session, possibly 2, possibly extra images, possibly a maternity or newborn session … for your spouses time 😉 Then you can use the session credit whenever you’d like. Easy right?
If you need to give them details- I will purchase all necessary supplies needed.
It will be 11 posts total.
Bonus points if they have an auger already.
(Ill give more details to the chosen winner 😅)
All you have to do- butter them up and then tell them nicely how you are really wanting updated pictures, they haven’t come home with a deer yet, and your favorite photographer is in need of some manual labor. Easy peasy 😁

Happy Saturday -

It’s been a minute since I did an update post! I’d love to say the busy season has begun but honestly - it began in July 🤣 .. I have not stopped and pushing full sp*ed ahead into the Holiday season- I can’t believe we are already here 🫣

First order of business- all ROUGH galleries have been sent out up through 9/22. They have conveniently landed in spam, promotional folders, and trash 🙃 .. love that for me 😑 .. so please, as always, check all your folders or just type my Business name in and it should pull up emails from me. This is a never ending battle and very frustrating.

I am working on final galleries for end of Summer newborns, this weekend into early next week. There were a lot - and a lot all at once. I either had people delivering 2 weeks late or 5 weeks early and very few on time .. makes for tricky scheduling lol. And then everyone sends back their choices at the same time so it’s just been a wild few weeks.

All Fall sessions have been booked 👏🏼 and so far we’ve had beautiful evenings!

There are still spots left for Holiday Minis so grab one of those if you’re still in need .. they are approaching quicker than I’d like lol.

Posting- someday I’ll set aside a couple hours to schedule posts .. not sure when that day will be 🤣 .. but I really need to do it! I have had so many amazing sessions this year and just don’t have the time for social media (Jessica- you could be using the time you write this post, to schedule stuff …. 😒 ) lol. Someday.

With that said- it’s time to close the calendar for October.. and November/December are not far behind! Please get your stuff booked earlier than not. The second half of the year comes fast here and I am always having to turn people away bc I’m simply one person trying to do the job of 20 .. and I hate saying no. So please, schedule months in advance- especially if you are expecting or for first birthdays. Retainer is due to hold your session/due date.

Back to editing I go before Fall Minis tonight! Have a wonderful weekend- enjoy the mild weather before the rain comes.

The first set is “A Classic Christmas” ..
I will have some toddler sized chairs, little sled, rocking horse, etc for the littles .. then the normal stools/bench for family poses.
The second set is “Winterland” - the bet set. The mattress is setting on a very soft white carpet this year .. my favorite flocked trees as a backdrop .. and a couple hot cocoa cups to set the scene!
Reminder- the sessions are back to 15 min this year .. I plan these to be simple and quick so we get you in and out. When you are setting your reminders for session time- put it for 10-15 minutes before your actual time so you arrive early, get the kids out of their seats and be ready to roll in when I send the “all clear” text !
If you’ve already snagged a spot.. thank you ☺️ .. excited for another year with most of you and a few newbies too!

🎄We are doing simple this year.. quick.. easy.. traditional Christmas vibes.
🎄Relatively neutral sets that will go with any outfit.
🎄You can do pajamas or traditional attire on either set.
🎄No fake snow 🙃 IYKYK …. 🤣
🎄Mattress on the floor this year to help keep the littles from taking flight off the side 🥴
We are also going back to the 15 min slot. I increased it last year due to the set being so large but I’m really trying to keep these quick and easy. We all know dad and kiddos are only entertaining our ideas for 2 minutes and want nothing more than to go back home 🤣
