To my dear past, present, and future clients,⠀
⠀
Woah. What is going on in the world right now?! This is so far outside our normal that we’re all struggling to see the future. I have laughed, cried, screamed, felt hopeful, and a never-before-felt fear all in one day. Sound familiar? ⠀
⠀
It’s your wedding year! Of all the “what ifs” you’ve imagined, this probably wasn’t one of them. But you know what? We’ve got you. We have ideas and want to help you find another wedding date where you can throw that party you’ve been dreaming of. We’re pros; most of us have worked hundreds, or even thousands, of weddings. And our speciality, alongside our craft, is curve balls.⠀
⠀
My job, alongside other wedding vendors, is large gatherings that encourage and celebrate social closeness, which have literally been taken away overnight. We, as an industry, are scrambling behind the scenes to help you figure this out and also make sure that our businesses are able to continue. My personal wish is that you’re able to keep all of your vendors.⠀
⠀
I am hearing a collective groan (well, more like shriek) among the small businesses that work together to put on weddings. It’s behind the scenes, hidden far enough away from you to hear it. These are my friends, my muses and my confidants. My love and support for them runs deep.⠀
⠀
Your photographer, videographer, DJ or band, makeup artist, hair stylist, caterer, calligrapher, invitation designer, officiant, event planner, candy bar designer, event real company, photo booth, cake maker, and any one else that has touched your wedding all hope that if you get to the point of rescheduling, to please touch base with us first. You are our livelihood and our passion. We have your best interest at heart and just simply want to throw the wedding you hired us for.⠀
⠀
Social distancing has made me realize just how much social closeness is essential to me thriving as a creative. All I want to do is get close, take your pictures, and tell your story in a way that makes your heart soar. I think once this has passed (and it will), us creatives will explode out of our cage and make our best work ever. I’m excited to make it with you, 2020! ⠀
⠀
Stay well,⠀
