Early Spring in Ice pairs yellow daffodils and purple crocus with white tulips edged in pink. I froze the flowers in ice so the yellow from the daffodils reflects into the tulips, which made an interesting color mix I wanted to explore. From my abstract bluebell series, Blue Shower turns small blooms into a soft, vertical shower of blue. Here’s "Confined." Sunlight on Cumberland Island lit the hanging strands of Spanish moss into a study of texture and contrast. At Santa Elena Canyon before dawn, the clouds hung low so I worked with infrared tones and focused on the landscape west of the canyon. A low viewpoint guides you along a curving river toward a thin strip of light on the horizon. Pebbled banks and braided currents add texture while a rugged cliff on the right keeps the scene grounded. Layered clouds press wide and dark, hinting at a weather shift without theatrics.
