A favorite quote of mine is, "Remember your why."
Lately, I've found myself thinking about that quote a lot. When I started Victoria Lee Photography 11 years ago, it came from a place of passion. I loved capturing memories, building relationships with families, and creating images that people would treasure for years to come. Somewhere along the way, in the busyness of running a business and trying to be everything to everyone, I lost sight of that original purpose—and, in many ways, I lost a little bit of myself too.
The past six months have brought many changes in my life, and it has given me the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. I've realized that if I'm going to continue doing what I love, I need to return to the reason I started this journey in the first place.
Because of that, I will be becoming more selective with the sessions I accept moving forward. This does not mean Victoria Lee Photography is closing. In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's a commitment to creating more balance, protecting my passion, and ensuring that every session I take on receives the heart, energy, and attention it deserves.
To every family, senior, couple, and client who has trusted me over the past 11 years, thank you. Your support has allowed me to do something I truly love, and I am incredibly grateful. As I move into this next chapter, I'm excited to focus on the work that speaks to my heart and reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
