Welp, it's time to share the most bittersweet news over here with you guys too 🥹💕 but first... let's look back!
I cannot believe it's been almost FOUR years since I started my business! I get so overwhelmed with gratitude that I've been able to follow my dreams, create art, and meet incredible new people along the way. I've been published, put on a billboard, won second best photographer in Mason County (without even knowing about it!?🥹), held an epic event in my studio this year, and so much more that I literally never could have even dreamed of.
I'm so grateful for every opportunity I've had, every journey I've been a part of, and every person I've crossed paths with over these last 4 years!
Running a business while being a mother to three is no easy task and I'd be lying if I didn't say the stresses of business weren't constantly consuming me.
I commend my fellow mompreneurs!! I recently had the realization that I’ve been postpartum the ENTIRE time I’ve been in business. While I stressed about bringing in income for my family, I was also changing diapers, breastfeeding, enduring sleepless nights, going through childbirth and the newborn phase (twice!!) making sure my kids made it to gymnastics, cheer, dance, all the extracurriculars; AND running a household. All while answering emails/phone calls, editing, hiring independent contractors, designing my own website, paying the insane overhead small businesses have, designing and running a studio, being on social media, and the list truly goes on. I am.... tired.
Every step of growing this business has been alongside growing and nurturing my babies — and while it’s been SO beautiful, it’s also been a lot to hold at once.
After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to slow down. I’m ready to lower my stress levels, breathe a little deeper, and give my full attention to this fleeting season of motherhood.
I’m incredibly grateful to even be in a place now where I can make this choice — although it's a hard one.
To all my friends, family, and regular clients- I will ALWAYS be willing to pick up my camera for you! please reach out anytime you are in need of new photos!!
To everyone currently on my calendar- your session will remain on your scheduled date- even if it's in 2026!
I will also always be around to bring creative concepts to life if it aligns with my style and schedule!
This is NOT me hanging up my camera. Just my work boots.
