Some moments behind the lens leave a permanent mark on my heart—and this was one of them. 💍

Photographing the Jenkins wedding in May was such a gift. We planned two incredibly special first looks: one between the bride and her father, and one between the groom and his mother. Cue all the emotions. 🥹

✨ I’ve watched this father walk two daughters down the aisle now—the first being one of my dearest friends, whose wedding I stood in 13 years ago.
✨ As a boy mom, I see the mother/son bond through a completely different lens now. It’s gentle, powerful, and something I treasure as I look ahead to sharing that moment with my Owie one day.
✨ I didn’t grow up knowing my own dad, so I never had this kind of memory at my own wedding… but I do have a daughter who will one day share this moment with an incredible father. What a gift that will be.

These connections—these glimpses of love and legacy—are why I do what I do. 💛

🌟✨ Three Years. THREE. WHOLE. YEARS. ✨🌟
I can hardly believe it… but today marks 3 years since I officially launched Shannon Gibbs Photography. 🥹 What started as a dream (and a camera gifted by the most supportive husband ever) has turned into one of the most joy-filled, purpose-driven parts of my life.

In these three years, I’ve laughed behind the lens with wild toddlers, cried during vows, cheered on seniors as they step into their next chapter, and watched families grow and change right before my eyes. It’s been real, raw, beautiful — and it’s all because of YOU. 💛

Whether you’ve booked with me once, come back year after year, referred a friend, shared a post, or simply believed in me — I hope you know how much that support means. This isn’t just photography to me. It’s heart work. It’s storytelling. It’s capturing the little things before they become big memories.
