Time and again before an engagement session, brides will tell me “he really doesn’t like having his picture taken.” Then without fail, their groom proceeds to churn out image after amazing image with their future wife showing off their love, personalities and the joy they find in each other.

I knew God would send me a wonderful couple to be my 100th wedding couple and oh my word did He exceed expections! Michelle & Mikey could not be a sweeter couple and I am so incredibly honored to have celebrated this big, beautiful step with them.

It was not long into their engagement session last October that I realized their wedding day at Oakland Hills Country Club was going to be absolute fire and it certainly was! Classy, gorgeous and full of joy describe not only their wedding day but also who they are as a couple and their photos show it in every way.

I have never laughed as hard during an engagement session as I did with Shelly + Steve! These two have so much fun together and I am so honored they invited me along for the ride. We wandered downtown Rochester on a gorgeous summer evening (after we rescheduled our original date that was during that crazy 100° heat wave, because who wants to be out on that?!?) and realized we had a TON of shared interests. I could have talked with these two for hours!

INTRODUCING: ✨ Mr & Mrs Bailey ✨

Some wedding days just feel like a deep exhale after a storm — quite literally for Isabelle & Ian. The rain cleared just in time, the sun came out, and these two walked into marriage with the kind of joy that radiates from the inside out.

From the kilts honoring Ian’s Scottish heritage to the way they held onto each other after their first kiss as husband and wife, every part of this day felt intentional, meaningful, and full of love. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the enormous smiles on their faces or the way they kept pulling each other back in for “just one more” hug back down the aisle. I was absolutely fighting tears behind the camera.

When I asked what they were most excited for in marriage, their answer said everything about who they are: creating a family of their own, family dinners around the table, singing together, going to Mass with a bunch of little ones, and growing old side by side.

The world needs more love stories like this one — grounded in faith, full of tenderness, and built for the long haul. 🤍
