Up Close at the Limestone Plant – Opening Reception, Thursday May 28, 2026, 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Sheffield-based professional photographer and educator Thaddeus B. Kubis will be exhibiting his most recent photographic project at The Adams Theater in an exhibit titled “Up Close at the Limestone Plant: Industrial Photography in Adams, MA.” The exhibition is a photographic study of the Specialty Minerals plant and limestone quarry that have operated in Adams since 1848. Thad was inspired by the style of Charles Sheeler, who is recognized as one of the early adapters of modernism in American art and is famous for photographing Ford’s River Rouge plant.

We invite you to attend the MDSC & NDSS Brighter Futures Conference, where Dylan will present his 2026 creative photography and inspirational product line. This collection features ten new puzzles, The Berkshire Book, Two Guys – Four Eyes: Our Trip Through Italy, and a limited offering of only three copies of Dylan’s debut work, The Beauty of the American Southwest.
The conference will be held on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the DCU Center, located at 50 Foster Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday.

The Photographic Book Group of the Berkshires.
Introducing “The Photographic Book Group of the Berkshires”, a monthly gathering of dedicated photographers who wish to go beyond the basic knowledge stream of photography.
This group will meet monthly at the Bushnell-Sage Library in Sheffield located at 48 Main Street, Sheffield, MA. The meetings will take place Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 6:45. The groups first meeting will take place on April 2nd and meet on the first Thursday of each month afterwards.
The first book suggested will be on Walker Evans – a personal favorite of mine, a shining star and a mystic mentor, whom I often “channel” to activate and expand my creative photographic development.
We will discuss Walker’s words and work via Walker Evans, A biography, by Belinda Rathbone, copies of the book are available from the Bushnell-Sage Library.
Our goal is to be inspired, motivated, not only by the imagery offered but to attempt to dive deep into the soul of the selected photographer.

Shadows, Shapes, Tones, and Light - Sicily 2025.
Marsala, Sicily
Considered one of Sicily’s top wine producing regions, this western coastal city known worldwide for Marsala wine.
The city of Marsala was like much the rest of Sicily, a visual combination of positives and negative, wealth and poverty, sights, smells and sounds all unique to my American eye, nose and ears.
I like, no LOVE, the ruggedness of Sicily, the sort of Wild West approach which for me is very different then the balance of many regions of Italy I have visited and photographed.
