It's not every night you get to see a full super-moon with a partial lunar eclipse - much less on your birthday! What a spectacular way to end the day!!!

Well, when you're blessed with some clear skies twice in one week, sometimes you just need to take one for the team... was able to get a crack at another probably overly-imaged target, but it's still great for getting back into the swing of things!

Oh man... What a way to get back out there... I've been wanting to run this target again with the new scope for over a year, and after a long hiatus (thank you twins 😅), I just felt like getting after it again... Not too hard of a target, nor an uncommon one, but definitely an extremely spectacular one to image!

So it's been a long winter, and dealing with twin 2 year olds is... exhausting... to say the least. So it's been a hot minute since I've had the time and motivation to get back into astrophotography. To get me back in the mood, I've looked over some images that I had recently processed, and through - yea... i can make those better. It's amazing what a bit more patience and newer technology can do! As a note, all of these images were processed using the same file data, so it's not like i got a better setup or anything 😅.

After over a month of procrastinating and pushing things off, I finally got around to editing my latest project. I know that I've done this one a few times before, but each time i get closer and closer to the quality of result that I want. I don't think I'm quite there yet, but I am most definitely further than I would have expected even just one year ago!

I finally got around to it! After a spectacularly clear night and a "few" hours of editing, I finally landed probably my best astro-image yet! I don't think that I can do much better than this though, so I think I'm going to move on to a different target next. Until then though, here's my rendition of the Veil Nebulae!

Decided to select a new target last night... between clouds and mis-clicking settings and not changing them back, I only got about half the frames that I wanted to, but I figured I'd still share my results from this night. Be on the lookout in the next few weeks for a finalized image that hopefully isn't as processed!
