My wife Hillary and I spent a relaxing weekend in the Berkshires, staying at the Bed and Breakfast where we got married last year. Of course, we couldn't miss the opportunity to make some maternity photos. Looking beautiful at 34 weeks!

Well, it was a wonderful day with Deb and Mike as they got married at the Winthrop Yacht Club. We had an afternoon of taking photo around Deer Island, a beautiful ceremony on the back deck, and then hours of dancing the night away. Here's a selection of photos from the day.

I recently met with Deb and Mike to do a few engagement pictures. I am shooting their wedding in October, and we took the time to get to know each other a bit, as well as walk around the Deer Island area and make some photos. We had a wonderful time, and they looked great together. Congrats guys! And I can't wait to be there when the big party happens in October.

So - does a newspaper really need photographers? Is the person who can write a news story the same person who can capture a photo worthy of a Pulitzer prize? The Chicago Sun Times thinks so. What do you think? Is a reporter with an iPhone just as good as a professional photographer with 20 years of photo experience?

These are from a late afternoon photo shoot this weekend at the Arnold Arboretum. We had a great time with Brianna and her family, making these photos and laughing a lot. Her boyfriend Mark acted as an adept assistant, holding the reflector and keeping the energy high.
