Found this recently as I was going through some old business folders. It was always a nice surprise when we received a thank you card and even a surprise gift and shirt from a head coach.

When I shoot athletics, I try not to miss many games, matches, events, meets, invitationals, etc. This was just one of many teams I worked with for years to take all their Individual and Team Portraits. Unlike others however, I drove around to almost all the meets and Invitationals to try and get at least 7 high quality shots to put into galleries for each student athlete. I also supplied their yearbook with requested photos to fill in gaps where needed and supplied coaches with photos for their banquets. It was definitely a labor of love, as I did all of that travel, editing, and organizing on my own time without asking for pay. It was always nice when a parent would order photo’s, too!

As a past athlete and coach, I always enjoyed supporting student athletes in their endeavors. It always took up a ton of my free time to do it between teaching and running a small business, but the appreciation made it worthwhile. I blocked out the signature since it is not the 80's anymore and I wouldn't want someone to take the signature.

First off, I want to say congratulations to all our seniors this year! It was a real pleasure meeting and working with everyone and wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Hard to believe how quick this year flew.

As some continue to have their graduation parties, we had the pleasure a couple weekends ago to celebrate with Braydon at his graduation party! Braydon was Class Valedictorian at Brookfield. I have known Braydon since about the 5th grade. I worked with him and his brother at Creative throwing the baseball around and talking sports. His last summer there, I remember handing him a business card and told him if he ever needed pictures to let me know. Years later, we get the call to book Braydon’s Senior Portraits. Now, it was funny how his mom told it to us. She was looking up senior photographers one day, and Braydon runs out with my card and says, “I know a guy!”

We shot four sessions with Braydon. We got the chance to work with him at Yankee Run for his Golf Session. We had a perfect fall day to shoot his outdoor session, and we had him in the studio for some traditional portraits and a hockey session. Braydon was my first hockey athlete, and I remember attending a game years ago and being quite impressed. Hopefully those hockey days continue as he achieved numerous hockey and golf accolades throughout his high school career!

We are all very proud of Braydon and know he is going to continue doing great things at YSU in the fall! Congratulations and glad you knew a guy LOL!

As we sit here uploading galleries to our website and editing some senior portraits, we had to indulge in some holiday sweets!

If you ever need some holiday cookies, please check out Brenda Kaye’s Sweet Treats in Clarks Mills! Brenda does a fantastic job and they are absolutely delicious!! I'm a sugar cookie fan and you won't find any better tasting sugar cookies! Thank you! 😊

We were happy to make the trip and support her business, as Brenda was one of our past brides!

I hope everyone enjoys their day and if you are out shopping, be safe!

Once again, this is a pretty warm September, so I have not been seen much this month in my gold hoodie while out on senior sessions. Each year, I think it is important to remind everyone that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As a small business, I am always looking for charitable organizations to support. My primary focus, however, are children’s charities. I have worked with children for years and with a disabled brother, I know the importance of giving back to children who need support. I am proud to wear my gold hoodie from The Brother’s Trust and Momentum Charities. I believe it is more important than ever to be an advocate for children in today’s society. The welfare of others, especially children, can be overlooked with so much going on in the world today. An unexpected illness can change life in the blink of an eye, and a little support can go a long way in the life of a child and their family.

Through volunteering, I have met a lot of amazing people over the years. Stacy, a dear friend devoted her life to working with children. She was a true joy and always had a smile on her face that could light up a room. She was one of my first brides when I started my business. Sadly, she passed in June of cancer. In high school, we both spent a majority of our time participating in student led service organizations like Students for Charity. My junior year and her senior year, we were among a group of students who made it into People Magazine for our dedication to our local communities. Stacy always teased me every couple of years, why I never share this article, and she would send me the article. I’m just one of those people who doesn’t like to share a lot on social media. In honor of Stacy, I figured this month was the right time to finally share the article. I am sure she would have something to say to me right now…

My dedication to service started as a sophomore when I was selected to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar or HOBY. My senior year, I continued my service to local communities, as president of five clubs ranging from National Honor Society to Student’s for Charity to Key Club. Like previous years, spent with members like Stacy, we spent evenings wrapping pennies, cooking meals at The Good Shepard Center, driving meals to community members that couldn’t make it in to eat, helping local veterans, escorts for the MCBHC dinner-dance, ringing the bell, purchasing toys for families, etc. Giving back to your community is key in this world. I am proud to wear my gold hoodie, and to say thank you for all the wonderful memories, Stacy. You are missed.

Here's a throwback to Aaron Archer's Toy Armada Q&A Panel at TFcon Toronto on July 13th with co-host Daniel Arseneault. Aaron climbed the cooperate ladder at Hasbro, wearing multiple hats along the way, including Sr. Design Director, Director of Global Design and Development, and Vice President of I.P. Development. Aaron is a visionary, a creator of worlds, a master of storytelling, and a legendary designer and illustrator. Don't miss his podcast, The Toy Armada with Aaron Archer.

Daniel aka Protoman is not only his knowledgeable co-host on the podcast, but also the head writer on the new Mega Man X Timelines comic series with well over 20,000 pre-orders. He also had an amazing panel at San Diego Comic-Con this summer. Congratulations!!!

I always enjoy shooting their panels and catching up with them both. All the best, gentlemen. I'm sure I'll see you both soon!

We started our 2025 Summer Wedding Season back on May 31st with this stunning wedding at Irons Mill Farmstead. Kaitlyn and Allan had a beautiful ceremony! We had a wonderful time starting our wedding season with a former student's special day! It was a great day all-around, as there were former students in the bridal party and at the reception. So many great memories and stories shared with families. Thank you for making this a new memory, Kaitlyn! I told you and Allan in 15 years, I have never had rain during a ceremony, and it stopped just before the big moment! Wishing you both the very best in the years to come!
