Driving home from a session the other night, my eyes started to tear up as I was hit with the gratitude of being chosen.

Chosen by families over and over again. Families who look forward to working with me every year, letting me get to know them, see them, and document their lives.

Chosen by new families for the first time. Families who saw my work somewhere out there, or had my name shared with them, and decided to take a chance on me.

In either case, I’m thankful for every person, every session, and every opportunity I have to create something that will long outlive the time it takes to make.

♥️FILLED🫶🏻

Maternity model needed for a complimentary styled studio session ✨ Nov. 5th

I’m looking for one expectant mama for a creative maternity session in a beautiful studio space in the Twin Cities area.

The session will include a couple carefully styled looks with a mix of soft, ethereal imagery and warmer, more editorial maternity portraits. Wardrobe will be provided, and some images will feature bare belly.

Ideally looking for someone around 28–34 weeks pregnant who is comfortable being photographed by 2 photographers and open to my styling/creative direction.

In exchange for your time, you’ll receive a gallery of edited images from the session. A signed model release allowing me to use the images for my portfolio, website, and social media will be required.

I’m considering opening a very limited number of Holiday Studio Sessions this November 🤎

15 minutes, 10+ images, one immediate family, and a beautifully styled neutral holiday setting — with the same connection and heart I bring to my full sessions.

Sessions would be $395, with galleries delivered within two weeks for holiday cards and gifts.

A family is never just one story happening at a time.

There’s the marriage that started it. The kids becoming more and more themselves. The relationships between siblings that have nothing to do with their parents at all. Everyone growing and changing, while somehow still belonging to the same little world together.

Maybe that’s why I love family photographs so much. There’s always more happening in them than you can see at first glance.

There’s a new tenderness in this stage of family life—when the children are no longer little, but they still lean in.

Still reach for you.
Still laugh so hard with each other that everything else falls away for a minute.
