This is the lighting setup for Stacy's shoot that I posted yesterday. The V shaped panels that fold into 4 segments, and utilize black and white sides are called "V-flats". Those I brought with me (tough fit in my backseat area). I brought the C stand that holds the Godox 600 and the
Godox Pro Beauty Dish (Silver, 21.3") with the white diffuser and sandbag. Along with the left and right rear strobes.

My new Canon R6 Mark III does a great job of tracking the focus on the eyes. It nails it almost every shot. My latest shoot with Stacy was very productive as a result. My Canon 5d Mark IV was a lot more work and often shots I thought were great turned out to be a bit soft on closer examination when editing on my 32 inch display.
Take note of how different a shot can look and feel after it gets cropped. There are some examples here.

My first 2 weeks with the Canon R6 Mark III. The first shooter was my producer/friend Rachelle Beitler, who shot a St. Kilian soccer championship game. She nailed most of the shots with the fantastic auto focus on the camera.

Then I shot the Sewickley Hunt Horse Show. I was equally impressed with the auto focus zoning in on the eyes of either the horses or the people.

Today I hung out in the backyard to see if I could get the hummingbirds. The last time I tried with the Canon 5D Mark IV I had to wade through a ton of shots to get a small percentage that were in focus. They are fast objects, as you know. Definitely an improvement over prior years.
